Vista SP1 RC, Nvidia, Fraps...

Recommended Posts

Guest Nils79

For those who installed the Vista SP1 RC:Microsoft has released a new RC (Build 6001-17128-080101-1935), which you can get if you run this update: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&DisplayLang=en (please read the explanation). But before, you have to deinstall the old SP1 RC. Even if you don't want to test the new RC, i would recommend the uninstalling of SP1 RC, because MS has released a lot of useful patches since SP1 RC has been released and you can't install them if you have a SP RC installed.Nvidia: A new nVidia Beta driver is available (didn't solved the flickering issue on my system): http://www.nvidia.com/Download/betadrivers.aspx?lang=en-usFraps: A new version is available which works with Vista SP1 RC: http://www.fraps.com/download.php

Anyone know if MS or Nvidia are looking into the point light and z-buffer flickering issues with SP2 in DX10 mode? The online chatter is remarkably quiet regarding any update, let alone, an acknowledgment there is an issue here.Etienne
