November 22, 20241 yr So I’m upgrading my system. I bought a 9800x3d, new ddr5 ram, new motherboard, and a new 4tb ssd. My currency system has two 2TB ssds with msfs2020. I should be able to take out the old motherboard and install the old ssds in my new motherboard with the new 4tb ssd. I’ll reuse my cooler and 3090. windows and my ssds should function as if nothing changed right? Or should I just clean install windows? Evan Hardin

You'll want to get rid of old drivers not suitable for your new hardware. If the MSFS2020 root folder (the one with the Community and Official folders in it) is on a separate drive you can keep using it; it will save you from re-downloading all the stuff in the Official folder, and most of the scenery in the Community folder will work fine as well. Some of the aircraft might need to be reinstalled since sometimes DRM will cause aircraft not to work.
