Airport parking

Featured Replies

Hello All! Hope everybody is well. I'd like to start editing airports in FSX. I will be using AFX. As I'd like to share the files with my fellow flightsimmers I would like to make them as realistic as is possible. The only piece of the puzzle I'm missing is where to find info on what Airlines park at what terminals for any given airport. If such info is in fact available could someone point me in the right direction? I used AFCAD to modify airports in FS2002 and FS9, but, that was for my own personal use so accuracy was of little concern. I think we need an influx of accurate airports that haven't been modified yet in FSX.Thank you in advance for any help,KailFlightSimmer since 1987C2D E6850 3.0GHz 1333FSBXFX Nvidia 680i LT SLI2x XFX 8800GT 512MB SLI'd2GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 800MHzCreative SB Audigy2 ZSUltra Xfinity 600W SLI PSUWindows XP SP2 / FSX SP2 / FS9 SP1

Thanks for listening,

It's out there, but I'm not certain there is a single location of this information for all (US) airports. For example, here are current gate assignments for PHL (Philadelphia, International).http://phlairline.com/gateassignments.htmlHere are terminal assignments for Logan International (BOS):http://www.massport.com/logan/airli.htmlIf you are designing a specific airport, then you will likely be interacting with airport managers for other aspects of your design, and they should be able to provide you with current information. The problem for a developer, of course, is designing an efficient way of keeping all that data current. Gate assignments change all the time.

Thank You so much for the info. That sends me in the direction I need to go. Hopefully I can spruce up some default facilities and give back to this community a little bit at the same time.Thank you,KailFlightSimmer since 1987C2D E6850 3.0GHz 1333FSBXFX Nvidia 680i LT SLI2x XFX 8800GT 512MB SLI'd2GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 800MHzCreative SB Audigy2 ZSUltra Xfinity 600W SLI PSUWindows XP SP2 / FSX SP2 / FS9 SP1

" ...and give back to this community a little bit at the same time."It's a great community. While I have been using Flight Simulator since FS98 ... I only discovered the larger FS community about two years ago. I was amazed at how many people give freely of their time to help others with problems, and work to improve the experience.Cheers,Kevin
