  1. Probably one of the easiest ways to identify the models would be to take screenshots of the models that are missing textures. You could then start comparing to aircraft photos on line somewhere like airliners.net. Or you could post the screenshots here. I, and I'm sure others, would be happy to try to help identify the models. If you see one waiting for take off at the threshold to a runway and then hear them get takeoff clearance, you could check in the UTLive interface and see what models that airline is using too. That could work for a few here and there.
  2. If you can identify the aircraft that are missing textures, you can compare the texture folder names in the aircraft folder with the texture called for in the flightsim sections in the aircraft.cfg file. For me, using UTLive, I found CRJ 700s in North America missing textures. I found that several Delta Express liveries were not showing because the "texture=" in the aircraft.cfg corresponding flightsim sections had a different name than the actual texture folders. Not at home with my Flight Sim rig right now so can't provide actual examples. When I get home I can post some more detailed info on what I saw in my situation.
  3. Flight1 has a couple of freebies now too. I have very much enjoyed the 182T. https://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=free
  4. Wow! Looks great for sure! Good luck on your checkride!
  5. Hi Patrick, If you haven't already solved this problem, you might try searching your ORBX folder for OIIE. If you find any files you could try disabling them by adding the file extension .off or something similar that works for you. Might even search for Tehran as well. Hope you're able to resolve it. Kail
  6. The Fisher Price plane looks good but it doesn't show as being available for P3d. Does anyone have it working in 4.5HF3? lol
  7. I was using Art Poole's freeware Ft. Myers airports in FSX. After getting LatinVFR's KRSW, I removed the conflicting files from the freeware package in order to only display the KFMY scenery. I tried the package in P3d4.5HF3 but had some default scenery showing through. I was going to try to create an exclude using ADE but got busy and haven't gotten around to installing the P3d SDK and ADE etc. If you're familiar with ADE you might be able to get it to work. It's definitely an upgrade from default. I don't live too far from KFMY and even took a discovery flight from there a few years ago. Art's scenery layout looks pretty good. The package is available from here in the library: Ft Myers, FL Airports (Download #136140) KFMY - Page Field - Fort Myers, Florida * UPDATE * (Download #176038) Let me know if you give it a whirl and it works!
  8. Hi Charlie, FSUPIC has been around the Flight Sim world for a loooong time. It is a stable and actually quite useful little program. You can install for free and typically get all of the functionality that your payware addons might need from it. You can also pay to license it to get additional functionality. I have had it installed and licensed in FSX for over a decade and never had a problem. I even use it to handle my controllers' axes and buttons instead of Flight Sim. Had no problems for years before licensing either. I would actually recommend having at least freeware FSUIPC installed in FSX or P3D any version. Hope this helps. Have a great day (or night depending upon your locale)! Kail Kessinger
  9. I had the same issue recently after a reinstall. If you haven't already, head over to the ORBX forums and describe to them, they'll likely provide a replacement "lclookup.bgl" file for you. Good luck, Kail
  10. David Roch posted a tutorial or guide that illustrates the best way to install FSX and subsequent service packs. A search of this forum should turn it up. I would rec following his guide, he's very knowledgable on the subjectThank you,KailFlightSimmer since 1987C2D E6850 3.0GHz 1333FSBXFX Nvidia 680i LT SLI2x XFX 8800GT 512MB SLI'd2GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 800MHzCreative SB Audigy2 ZSUltra Xfinity 600W SLI PSUWindows XP SP2 / FSX SP2 / FS9 SP1

  12. I noticed this after installing editvoicepack. With it being a community tech preview it will probably be addressed as development continues. Might be an answer at whatever forum he uses though.KailFlightSimmer since 1987C2D E6850 3.0GHz 1333FSBXFX Nvidia 680i LT SLI2x XFX 8800GT 512MB SLI'd2GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 800MHzCreative SB Audigy2 ZSUltra Xfinity 600W SLI PSUWindows XP SP2 / FSX SP2 / FS9 SP1

  14. Thank You so much for the info. That sends me in the direction I need to go. Hopefully I can spruce up some default facilities and give back to this community a little bit at the same time.Thank you,KailFlightSimmer since 1987C2D E6850 3.0GHz 1333FSBXFX Nvidia 680i LT SLI2x XFX 8800GT 512MB SLI'd2GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 800MHzCreative SB Audigy2 ZSUltra Xfinity 600W SLI PSUWindows XP SP2 / FSX SP2 / FS9 SP1
  15. Hello All! Hope everybody is well. I'd like to start editing airports in FSX. I will be using AFX. As I'd like to share the files with my fellow flightsimmers I would like to make them as realistic as is possible. The only piece of the puzzle I'm missing is where to find info on what Airlines park at what terminals for any given airport. If such info is in fact available could someone point me in the right direction? I used AFCAD to modify airports in FS2002 and FS9, but, that was for my own personal use so accuracy was of little concern. I think we need an influx of accurate airports that haven't been modified yet in FSX.Thank you in advance for any help,KailFlightSimmer since 1987C2D E6850 3.0GHz 1333FSBXFX Nvidia 680i LT SLI2x XFX 8800GT 512MB SLI'd2GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 800MHzCreative SB Audigy2 ZSUltra Xfinity 600W SLI PSUWindows XP SP2 / FSX SP2 / FS9 SP1
