Career mode assistance disable option bugged?

I have been enjoying career mode these last 3 days but even when asigning a hotkey to disable visual assistance I have been unable to remove all those blue squares and arrows that break inmersion. Has anyone experienced the same?

 

Edit: sorry, found the culprit, there are 2 hotkey assigments with similar names /functions for visual assitance and I assigned the wrong one.
