December 1, 20241 yr Hallo...back again after a 17th month layoff. Yes, I'm an old timer - got my gliding wings with ATC in 1961; PPL in South Africa in 1982. But I have a huge problem that nobody seems able to sole...the solution must be there! I have 3 SSDs C:drive; E and F. C = OS 222GB (37GB free) E = 222GB (109GB free) F = 931 GB (931GB free) When I install P3D 4 or P3D 5 to F drive, everything goes to C drive! I know there must be space for P3D OS on C, but this seems ridiculous. I have tried this multiple times after reading instructions both here and elsewhere. How can I install P3D v4 and v5 on F drive, where I still have room for ORBX addons, etc? Thank you, from a frustrated old timer (80 next year)
December 1, 20241 yr Hallo Tom, always installed P3D on drive F:, and never had issues with that. I'll install it again tomorrow and see what's a reason. If i remember correctly, you can change the offered position in C:\Program Files\... but it does not save it. I believe there is an OPTIONS button down on the left which gives way for a new path (I believe...). We'll see tomorrow. Kind regards, Fritz
December 2, 20241 yr Tom, just tried again, and even if directed to networked drives / directories P3D installs in the place commanded via OPTIONS. Hmmm, in case of drive F: not correctly formatted or write protected you'd get a message. Please just send me a note how it gets, i hope for your success. 👋👋 Fritz
December 2, 20241 yr Author Hallo Fritz, I will try again. Will reformat F and download again. Thank you for your reply.🙋♂️
