Save VFR view command breaks all default cameras

Featured Replies

Issue:

  • Load a default aircraft.
  • Bind a key to SAVE VFR VIEW for example ctrl-V
  • Change cockpit view, press ctrl-V to save the new view.
  • Load any OTHER aircraft, default view is broken.

This has happened to me on a number of occasions now. Today, I wanted to try a few default aircraft. I did the above, and all of a sudden the default view for all aircraft was broken. E.g.:

Fenix A321:

According to a post on the official forum, VFR PILOT VIEW SAVE can only be used once per MSFS session.

If it happens, the solution is to restart the sim (without doing anything else with the cockpit view). This should restore the broken cockpit view for all aircraft. At least it did so in my case.

If it doesn't work, I suppose that it's possible to try this:

  • exit then restart the sim
  • select any aircraft
  • use a key or button assignment for RESET COCKPIT VIEW
