I want to just press one keyboard button to start recording in default "flight video" mode of FSX. Is this possible?

Having assigned a hotkey for "video recording stop/start", it doesn't work when I press the hotkey, and I tried keys that aren't used by other functions. Help!

"Mouse yoke" was coming up as the default controller notably not "keyboard" or something, but I typed a hotkey from the keyboard eg.
