Wow, Pretty cool- there are some smart cookies out there. I got serendipitous and opened a new browser to read about BlueGene/L (the world's fastest supercomputer) which is mentioned. It runs at 280 sustained teraflops, or roughly as fast as 24,000 3 gig P4s. The cool thing is that they say that the architecture is such that there are really no bottlenecks. Imagine the flight simulator that a bunch of bored eggheads could get cranking on that thing? You could have FSX with thousands of times more detail (every tree and building in 5 miles, full dynamic shadows, full particle wind and clouds), and a frame rate in the hundreds. Cool...
