Tasmania - Part 1

Tasmania - Part 1

Departing from Launceston (YMLT), we fly along the Tamar River past Batman Bridge to Georgetown (YGTO). Then, we turn east, landing at Bridport (YBDP) followed by a long 62nm leg to Flinders Island (YFLI).  Heading south, we land at Cape Barren Island (YCBN) and make a challenging one-way landing on Swan Island (YSWI). The route takes us down Tasmania's east coast, stopping at coastal communities including St Helens (YSTH), Friendly Beaches (YFRI), Darlington (YDAR), and Lagoon Bay (YLAG). We finish our tour west at Bruny Island (YBYI), then north over Hobart, under the Hobart bridge, and end at Hobart (YMHB).

 FlightPlan Here

The route is 355 miles in length with 12 landings. I will be flying the SWS PC-12 (although some of the fields are pretty short  ~ Swan Island & Darlington).
