question re Marketplace addons in 2020 now

Featured Replies

I have just posted the following on the official MS forum. Anybody else had the same experience? In the past, whenever I bought anything via the Marketplace it would be put in the Official folder, and I would then move it out into my own addons folder environment and manage it via the Addons Linker. This time, I grabbed a couple of bargain basement Brazilian airports and nothing has actually shown up in the 2020 official folder, but instead seems to be being streamed now?

Any info gratefully received, and if I get any reply from the MS forum I'll post it here.

Official forum post -

I have full, separate, installations of both 2020 and 2024 on my PC. Post WU19 I have just been to the Marketplace in 2020 and bought two airports (SBVT and SBGR, from Geardown). I then accessed them both, successfully, in 2020. But when I look in the 2020 “Official\OneStore” folder there is nothing showing for these addons.

I then fired up 2024, and I can see both addons are showing in My Library as “MSFS2020 - disabled, Not Creator Approved”.

So my question is - is this how new Marketplace purchases are handled now in 2020? Are they actually just being streamed now even for 2020?
