June 17, 200817 yr I'm having difficulties when flying the Cheyenne and the displayed ATC menu, the problem exists only when flying the Cheyenne. Normally when flying VFR in any plane (except the Cheyenne) after taking-off from the airport and requesting a flight following from ATC, the ATC will to thru the sequence of providing a squawk-code and radar position, the options in the ATC window that then become available are:1. Create or open an IFR plan, or2. Nearest Airport ListingWhen flying the Cheyenne, I receive no options after requesting flight-following, my ATC window says, "No messages to transmit to Orlando departure"; if flying out-of Orlando. I don't receive an option to get a nearest airport listing??? Am I missing something, do I need to activate a button on the Cheyenne radio to get ATC to provide me with some options?
June 17, 200817 yr Author The Cheyenne has two transponders and selector switch on the panel. Are you sure you're entering the squawk into the active transponder?
