April 6, 20251 yr I've recently started having a problem where when I switch out of MSFS2020 to something else when I eventually bring MSFS back into focus it's just frozen. If I switch back again everything is moving but it's a complete stutter fest even with my normal FPS. I vaguely remember this happening a long time ago but there was a way I was able to get things back to normal but I can't for the life of me remember now. I've been running the same settings forever now. Any idea what might be causing this? It doesn't happen every time but it's happened on enough flights now that it's causing issues. It's usually toward the end of a flight after several switches between tasks. Nothing out of the ordinary with CPU usage or anything. April 6, 20251 yr Author Just had it happen again this time before I even made it off the ground in a different plane. I thought it may have something to do with time acceleration but apparently not. Going back to the main menu and reloading doesn’t fix it. Only exiting the sim entirely. Drivers were updated yesterday so that shouldn’t be the cause.
