I would put it into the category of problems that affect people differently, much like the dark cockpits or shadow edges. 

For me, for example, neither the dark cockpits nor the AA is a problem at all. It boils down to personal perception, attitude and a bit of COD, maybe.

With some people, improving X-Plane is like playing whack-a-mole. As soon as you have taken care of one problem that they went on about all day and that totally precludes them from having one second of fun with X-Plane, they seamlessly switch to the next one that makes X-Plane "unflyable" again 😄.

For me they are the male equivalent to the nagging wife. They do it out of the best intentions, but this is not seen as such by all involved 😉.
