Two neat tricks I just found while starting up FSX for the first time.1. Make a shortcut to: your_install_directoryUireslc01.htmThis shortcut will bring up the "Learning Center" in your Windows browser as a separate window that will run along with the simulator as it runs.Great for learning things like the GPS unit, while in windowed mode.2. There is an undocumented key command to change the viewing distance as opposed to the zoom. While this might not sound to exciting, it makes a serious difference as you will find out by trying it.
