Anyone using NOD32 antivirus software- beware of update 3435

I actually thought I had a major virus this afternoon. Suddenly unable to open even Task Manager, Windows wouldnt allow anything to run. Went into safe mode and did checks found nothing, very luckily I went to the ESET website for NOD32 on a different PC , IE wouldnt even open! and started to look at their forums and spotted that an update released at the same time as my problem started, this is affecting many computers, I disabled the antivirus software and immediately everything working again. I have downloaded and installed a different update now and back in business.Affected version seems to be v3.0.657.0 virus database 3435, to fix update to v3.0.672 this installs virus database 3373 (older slightly) but at least it unlocks your PC again and they will no doubt release a new update in the next few hours.Simon
