Live weather temperature issues.

Featured Replies

I couldn't use fs24 for the last 8 months since it came out, basically because our internet wasn't good enough. We've since moved and along with that now have fibre internet so I'm playing catch up.

I installed pmdg 777, and I'm flying across the Pacific, and somewhere around the middle of the ocean my plane started gradually slowing down. I was at fl360 and which was actually lower than the recommended altitude on simbrief and through the fmc. I was doing just fine at m0.83 at fl360 earlier when the aircraft was much heavier, so I found it weird. I ended up changing the n1 profile to clb, and it would get up to m0.8, but not much higher -- and burning lots more fuel.

In trouble shooting, I noticed the static air temperature at FL360 was -2C, which is not normal. As soon as I turn off live weather, and use one of the presets, the SAT automatically drops to -55 or so where it should be, and instantly my plane is at overspeed, and has no issue maintaining m 0.84.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue, and if there is a fix.

Fwiw, I have no other programs installed, just pmdg, and I did not increase the sim rate. I was flying real time just leaving the sim for a few hours. Auto step climb was on for what it's worth (it was unable to maintain higher than fl365).
