  1. Yokes? And my address has changed since my order... Canada is still tariff free 😃
  2. I just purchased fshud and did 2 flights. I thought it really improved the overall busy feel of the flight, and kept the typical dumb AI traffic away. I was really, really disappointed with the vectors to final though, it pretty much ruined the whole experience. It was just way too much left and right fine tuning, and then had me intercept a localizer by flying parallel to the runway a mile off course. I tried a second time just to see if it was a one off but it did the exact same thing at a different airport. I later tried it with no active or parked aircraft and it was better, but still pretty convoluted vectoring. The other issue was the initial taxi to holding point instruction, and then nothing happened. I had to call and re-ask and receive taxi instructions, and then it cleared me for takeoff. And the same thing when landing and vacating the runway. It would be great if it was just a little ahead of you on both situations. Im hoping there's a way to fix it because it really does show promise.
  3. Awesome, thanks everyone. I decided to try fshud. I imagine it's pretty similar to batc. It really improved the busy airport feel and eliminated the random encounters with air traffic. However, I did 2 flights and it absolutely botched the vectors to final, which was pretty disappointing.
  4. I used fs95/98 an insane amount when I was a kid, and then I hit puberty and just became uninterested. Fast forward 25 years and I was curious if there was anything new, and sure enough fs2020 had come out, and it looked freaking amazing when comparing it to the last version I played. Now I'm on fs24, and it seems the wrinkles are being ironed out -- I've got pmdg 777, and think it's fantastic. I just purchased scenery for egll, and I'm amazed at how awesome the game overall is, its pretty close to feeling real. Some things that really bug me though, is the default traffic, how they'll just completely get in your way and I just end up ignoring them and driving through them. Another is the ground crews, same thing, some guy will just walk across the apron, or there'll be a car on the runway or something. The last thing, and I think if this worked, then the AI traffic would also work because they could tell you where to hold short, enter runway, etc, is the ATC is pretty freakin brutal. I pretty much don't use it, it's just way too unrealistic for me. I've disabled most things like ai traffic and ground crew, but that makes the game feel a little dead Just wondering if there's some programs that address these problems, and if there's some products that everyone uses just because they're essential and improve the game a lot? I don't really want to throw money at things that aren't worth it -- I'm a little out of the loop. I also think I'll get set back up on vatsim and maybe that will help liven the place up.
  5. I ordered a yoke about 3 years ago, any word on that?
  6. I couldn't use fs24 for the last 8 months since it came out, basically because our internet wasn't good enough. We've since moved and along with that now have fibre internet so I'm playing catch up. I installed pmdg 777, and I'm flying across the Pacific, and somewhere around the middle of the ocean my plane started gradually slowing down. I was at fl360 and which was actually lower than the recommended altitude on simbrief and through the fmc. I was doing just fine at m0.83 at fl360 earlier when the aircraft was much heavier, so I found it weird. I ended up changing the n1 profile to clb, and it would get up to m0.8, but not much higher -- and burning lots more fuel. In trouble shooting, I noticed the static air temperature at FL360 was -2C, which is not normal. As soon as I turn off live weather, and use one of the presets, the SAT automatically drops to -55 or so where it should be, and instantly my plane is at overspeed, and has no issue maintaining m 0.84. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue, and if there is a fix. Fwiw, I have no other programs installed, just pmdg, and I did not increase the sim rate. I was flying real time just leaving the sim for a few hours. Auto step climb was on for what it's worth (it was unable to maintain higher than fl365).
  7. Sorry to start a new thread for a basic question, but does anyone else have problems with the ADF on the C152? As in it doesn't work at all? I can't tune it.
  8. I'm going to stop playing it for a while. It's definitely better than day 1, but I for whatever reason if I set up my controls for one plane, they don't transfer to other planes. Some cockpit take 5 minutes before they load properly. Scenery is blocky. Frozen on me twice today. I'll just let it be and enjoy the weekend.
  9. K... so figured our my rudder pedals, and spent about an hour setting up rest of yoke buttons (pov etc). Clicked save and apply to all aircraft. Hop into a new aircraft and they're all screwed up again, can't seem to apply settings from other AC. Anyone know how to solve this?
  10. Anyone having problems again? I had the same day 1 problems everyone had, then gave it another go yesterday and earlier today. It was working good, although my rudder pedals are wonky. Just loaded it up now though and the C172 cockpit is all grey and dysfunctional. All the scenery is just blocks of color.
  11. Well I ordered a yoke a year ago now :/
  12. Yikes. I ordered mine about 10 months ago. Sounds like we've all been had I guess.
