  1. I look at pics and read the reviews.
  2. I only use ATMOS with available presets. There are plenty to test. So it's not that hard to check if it works. But, if you want to go manual, then it could be time consuming. Not recommended!
  3. The LearJet 35 was one of my fav business jets for P3D. I can only imagine that it's even better in MSFS v2024.
  4. YES it is! IMO, default live weather is still the best option. When "live" weather works correctly, it an awesome visual experience and I don't even need ATMOS. I'll add: FSRealistic + and Real Turb are also compatible. But, they are not needed, especially when setting default turbulence to "realistic." It does a nice job simulating bumps and wake on final.
  5. Like many, I purchased Active Sky because I was a FSX & P3D user. I wanted to support the developer. You will not know the value of AS for MS24 until you really need it. The other day, default live weather was not working, but since I have AS, all I had to do was enable it and I was pleasantly surprised to see how much better the weather was depicted than in previous versions of Active Sky. I also love the moving map. I open the ap on a different monitor and use it to monitor the weather throughout my flights. Having said that, if you are looking for a complete weather package that depicts thunderstorm clouds with multiple layers and realistic turbulence, msfs v24 weather is just not there yet. It was promised, but not delivered. AS is currently not capable of delivering that type of weather. It only enhances the default weather and can at times depict the weather a little bit better. So, the short answer to your questions is NO.
  6. If you have the money to spare, then Navigraph is the best. Jep charts are the best. Having said that, I don't see a reason why I need to spend $90 a year on a flight planner and charts when I already have an excellent flight planner and access to charts. I prefer to spend it on payware airports or aircraft. It's also ridiculous that aircraft devs are selling add-ons that are supposed to be v2024 compatible, but they want us to spend additional money on a planner, when the default is good enough. Unfortunately, most customers settle without thought and don't demand the compatibility that they paid for. My Carenado PC-24 cost me $15 and it supports LIDO charts.
  7. I use the MSFS 2024 for every IFR flight. I just open the planner on my IPAD: https://planner.flightsimulator.com/landing.html I'm surprised that you not aware of this essential v2024 feature.
  8. That bridge developer saw an opportunity to make some $$ and was wise enough to take it. Thankfully, some city developers are including fixed bridges in their packages. Now we need ASOBO to fix the blocky PG trees. This should have been a part of their so called 10 year plan, but so far the issue has been ignored.
  9. Thanks Adam. I solved my issue by enabling POIs. Mine looks really good, but I have the payware St. Louis City, rkbridges, and payware lighting.
  10. Mine is missing. Can someone be so kind to check if it's just something on my end? Thanks. Update: I had disabled POI USA X update. Once I enabled it, the arch showed up. Issue resolved.
  11. Then ask for a refund. It's sad, because you are about to miss out on one of the best ATC add-ons available for MSFS. Yesterday I did an IFR flight from KIND to KSTL and it was perfection from departure to arrival. Maybe what you need is a vacation from posting at AVSIM. It will serve you well.
  12. When I close the sim, sometimes it hangs. This is an issue that began after installing GSX. Maybe it's a specific airport or GSX causing the issue. The only way to know if it's GSX is to close it before I close the sim. If I disable GSX, the sim does not hand on close. It only happens occasionally. That's why I'm trying to find a fix.
  13. Simply make the commitment that you will not move on to another airplane until you spend at least 100 hours on that airplane. Read the POH, watch videos, do your flights. I do 1 hour IFR flights all around the USA with BATC & AIG models and I'm loving every minute. I will not move on to a different airplane until I feel that I'm ready for a different challenge. That's how I get my value.
  14. I usually get a faster response here. 😃 I wanted to say thank you. If it wasn't for you, I would have scrapped GSX. I'm glad that I decided to install it and now I think it's an essential add-on even for business jets. I have a quick question, how do I completely shut down GSX at the end of the flight?
