St. Louis Arch

Featured Replies

Mine is missing.

Can someone be so kind to check if it's just something on my end?

Thanks.

Update: I had disabled POI USA X update. Once I enabled it, the arch showed up.

Issue resolved.

MSFS 2024 is my sim choice everyday and twice on Sundays.

Shows up fine on my (MS Store) system - with and without photogrammetry, all updates and POIs enabled. I'll put up some pics shortly ...

... and this is why I hate photogrammetry:

I'd rather have some blocky bridges then the ugly autogen.

Thanks Adam.

I solved my issue by enabling POIs.

Mine looks really good, but I have the payware St. Louis City, rkbridges, and payware lighting.

They've been a problem for ages ... are they ever going to fix them? I just ran a series of comparisons over various areas. Some PG works fine (and looks great), but it still has far too many "melted" objects (including generic objects like trees, rocks etc.) for my liking.

It partially depends on the data quality of the particular region. By far the biggest weakness of PG is the trees, yes.

LOL, those blocky bridges from Minecraft 1990 look dreadful. There is no way that they would be deemed acceptable on my PC. On the other hand, some of the autogen bridges do not look very good either, but at least they have gaps between the deck and the water.

Yes it is unacceptable. I would recommend the rkbridger St. Louis bridges add-on, that is what is in the second set of pics.

That bridge developer saw an opportunity to make some $$ and was wise enough to take it. Thankfully, some city developers are including fixed bridges in their packages.

Now we need ASOBO to fix the blocky PG trees. This should have been a part of their so called 10 year plan, but so far the issue has been ignored.
