Making pretty good progress here the last couple of nights. Took care of aviators' park, the mobile home park, some fencing, lights and other details like tons of trees. Just need to deal with the taxiways next and should be good to go. Added a couple of easter eggs in town too...one is visible in one of the above screenshots.

Can you tell if they included a CGL only for the airport area or for most of the city as well? Addis Ababa has a lot of recently developed areas that don't really show up on the MSFS orthos.

Yep, most of my issues in 24 abated after eliminating 'ultra' and 'high' settings in most categories.

Getting to work these last couple weeks on KTSP, a significant GA field in Southern California east of Bakersfield and west of Edwards AFB. I never flew in IRL, but online sources say the airport is known for gusty winds and people sometimes fly-in just for a few hours to check out the rail history downtown. Have most of the hangars and trees placed, now have to make repairs to the airport layout, add fencing, lights, and so on.

I don't think it's a coincidence, but I haven't officially measured, just felt a change since installing 26H2 and enabling the mode. One thing I have checked is CPU demand for MSFS20 is slightly lower than before, because I have been benchmarking for several months. According to the M$ description for the xbox mode, it should free up system resources for high-demand games.

The xbox mode seems to work well. MSFS20 evidently loads faster than before, and my midrange system is less laggy when panning in MSFS24.

I have not encountered this, sorry. However my system comes with a control panel that includes a 'free up memory' button and this usually clears the RAM buffer by 15-20% as it ticks up over time. I usually do this a couple of times per flight, so maybe that wards off trouble. Is this in 20 or 24 BTW?

No worries, I love that scenery, one of their best IMO. Wow I just read about the Ahart saga...what a mess! The guy who ran them into the ground apparently went AWOL and can't be found. ☹️

Not everyone has the same experience, as noted upthread. I get stutters and pop-ins with 24, but not 20.
