  1. Oddly enough for me LAX is fine, but the other two are not. 😐
  2. Absolutely, one of the biggest mistakes made in MSFS so far is not giving World Hub a chance to properly develop and become truly useful. It would also make collaborations between freeware developers much more streamlined had they built it out well. Wasted potential...😑
  3. Depends on the release. The C182RG is a fantastic buy
  4. The multi-jetway system is cool, have always admired that. I will be skipping this title though. KORD is not really an airfield where I like to spend time, either IRL or in the sim lol. One of the ultimate utilitarian airports.
  5. Your community folder question was answered in your previous thread, by the way 😉
  6. The very first link in the list he provided covers it...
  7. The location depends on Steam or Store installation. You can google the default location for either. I customized mine long ago
  8. Just put them in your Community folder. That's where everything add-on goes.
  9. Not sure if you remember FS9/FSX days but the CalClassic website is still there. The creator and scenery team created an entire world that was backdated to the propliner and early jet era. All 1960s scenery with major modern landmarks removed. Even landclasses were changed to make cities smaller than today. There's also this studio doing retro stuff now but they can't really work around the TIN. GERMANY 1935 · Unofficial MSFS Marketplace Browser
  10. Continuous improvement, that's the Vincent way! 🤩
  11. Me too, saw it in the early 2000s, a few years before closure. Very memorable place, a veritable living museum. There is a great book about the heyday of Pan Am, 'Skygods' by Robert Gandt, and there is a whole chapter devoted to the West German PAA operation and all the hijinks crews got up to at their Tempelhof hub.
  12. It was a simple question. Some developers of retro scenery do that, and some don't. As a scenery developer, I was curious. Sorry for intruding on your thread. 🙈
  13. Did they exclude all the modern assets in the city as well?
  14. Thanks! It's a labor of love. There has been no decent KPRB since Al Wheeler's FS9/FSX central California scenery pack
  15. Feeling your pain...it took me an extra day of troubleshooting just to get my KPRB scenery to work properly in MSFS24 because the 20 and 24 versions have different GUID hex codes in some Asobo scenery objects 😵‍💫
  16. Happy to finally announce release of KPRB, it has taken awhile. Had to solve some issues that required a separate MSFS24 version. (KPRB) Paso Robles Municipal Airport, San Luis Obispo County, CA - Airports for MSFS | Flightsim.to
  17. There are multiple pain points. Most annoying is terraforming. What you see in the project mode is not always the actual finished result in the built project, which needs many rounds of trial and error. It is also not possible to directly import a DEM file. Somewhat annoying is that some fence objects (3rd party ones) cannot be placed using the vector placement tool. Also the vector placement tool has issues with elevation changes. Painted lines are annoying because while very useful, you can only use them on default surfaces. If you add new surface polygons they won't show, and you'll need custom lines/materials. Adding custom materials to the material library can also be problematic with lots of trial and error. Another annoying aspect is not so much the SDK itself but how scenery is layered in MSFS. If you delete the default apron polygons, you have to redraw everything manually. In most cases the default aprons overlay the ortho correctly, but in others, their data is wrong or the default settings are wrong, and you cannot add a runway with new texture on top (it won't show through, regardless of priority setting). I had this problem recently with KPRB...
  18. The correct folder setup is essential. Without that or if the project was not 'built' initially, yes it's very easy to lose work/content unfortunately...
  19. Once used to it it's pretty much that fast. I am at the point now I can get into a new project if just modding a default airport and replace/place objects already within the sim in just a few minutes. Of course there are other aspects aside from object placement that are very annoying and time-consuming.
  20. The advantage of Devmode over previous sims though is you can see changes live in-sim...
  21. So you essentially want what the SDK/Devmode already does, but in another offline form?
  22. To be honest, French developers were always going to get the best access to LFPG resources....just the way it is.
  23. Agree, especially considering how much they have delivered over the years. Plus they are still delivering great scenery, EDDK, ENGM, LIMC and so on.
