  1. My mom used to get sent there for offsite events too. Wonderful place
  2. Sunriver finally released! The high desert of Oregon awaits (S21) Sunriver Airport, Deschutes County, OR, USA - Airports for MSFS | Flightsim.to
  3. One last little bit of tinkering and it should be out tomorrow...!
  4. After a long road getting this scenery ready, it is finally released. It's actually a short flight from here to my other release at KCPU, and you can also visit vbazillio's KMPI and KPVF from here too. The Sierra gold country is alive in MSFS! (O22) Columbia Airport, Tuolumne County, Columbia, CA - Airports for MSFS | Flightsim.to
  5. Some quick updates were uploaded today at flightsim.to. I have done some model improvements and cleanup for Calaveras, Hollister, and Marina airports. Hopefully this addresses some issues users found. 6. Great fun! Long roadtrips are another thing I miss about west coast life.
  7. Hi all, I was burning out a bit on finishing recent scenery (can't look at the same airport for too long) so I started working on this small GA field in northern California requested by someone. It's a great fly-in destination from Sacramento or the Bay Area, thanks to Nancy's famous cafe. Never had the pleasure myself in my GA days in CA. This airport is small and not too detailed so it came together quickly this week. Just need to add some power lines, adjust terrain, and fix vegetation along the main road and it should be ready. Somehow the default taxiways and other aprons were already correct in the sim, so that's less work too. 707043187b06d45cdce859bd198827124ba12adc.jpeg (1790×834) cee52fefe55194134bcce0a6f64561d591fe1716.jpeg (1876×886) 7bd3444b80d9e5753381f7261ae3672fbbf6ba04.jpeg (1777×849) 5e1fa7a59f119178253df1ce8f161bec4f017c83.jpeg (1773×884) cfa5e103ff8b0f1e95a12057b3a30e5dda499511.jpeg (1599×892)
  8. You have photogrammetry turned on - that is typical. Asobo intends it to be seen from the air, not the ground.
  9. If you are going from KBOS, why not arrive somewhere more scenic? EIDW is a good choice, as others have recommended. Other good options: EINN (Shannon) EGPF (Glasgow) EGPK (Prestwick) EGFF (Cardiff) EGNT (Newcastle)
  10. I see what you mean too but what I meant was the total detail airside vs. not. If the RW parking lot has 188 spaces and 74 trees and the sim one has 100-something and 30 trees, I'm not really going to notice (or check), especially when flying. That said for my GA sceneries, if there is a sign on the fence that says 'have you closed your flight plan?' I will likely try to include things like that. The majority of users of big airline sceneries will not be familiar enough with the actual airport to catch every last detail.
  11. Seconded. I would love to turn off all the interior stuff I never use and probably won't ever see. I also only care about accuracy on the airside of the airport. I don't really care if every parking space and tree in the terminal periphery is correct, as long as it's close enough as the plane flies by, I'll never notice more than that.
  12. I felt the same. Haven't been there in RL for years but noticed there is not a lot of coverage of this airport in general, even back on FSX/P3D
  13. What was awful about it..? Just wondering
  14. Hi all, Another little preview ready for show. This is Sunriver, a private airport in a beautiful part of central Oregon. The airport is walking distance to the Deschutes River, and is fully equipped for full range GA, including bizjet service. a52627aa9a5a507531b091517ff9f2e08cbda2ca.jpeg (1859×921) b5e149c35e740ddf385674bc88f27466fb1ac7e8.jpeg (1700×882) 519e5fc5f236f0489f3c1948adce6ff183d11e9e.jpeg (1861×893) 027dba229c5c612fabfdf11701b8962ff6deefbd.jpeg (1865×876) 4d180aad380c46b9cb8d392a52b0f633224280bb.jpeg (1753×872) d38f8c7f664a93d5a3730e89f8e08d5784938bd5.jpeg (1764×826) Some small terrain and other issues remain to fix, but should be good to go soon.
  15. Tinkering with the terrain drove me half mad, so I am just going to accept this progress with the terrain might be as good as it gets. Getting close to ready for release! 4683b81643cd4338c06d00c87f96f8de4ecaefcd.jpeg (1878×830) 59d321f08775f247fd7125cd912228e2221a1c72.jpeg (1862×841) dd4f47df9a66b743c3fb0cde940e0cf7f253848f.jpeg (1845×817) 3448d7cfc58ca8779d5fa79581ee7f3149a8c79b.jpeg (1810×898) 654ae702491b737540a88f1928b43778a2632880.jpeg (1730×839) 4a25bdcbabe8be08392decab6962f1f8effb37dc.jpeg (1641×865) 104872647cfd450fdf42df2b4428f7a2a5bc658b.jpeg (1814×821)
  16. Just wondering out loud...but why not do spotting with RW airports instead of MSFS? There are hundreds of livestream channels from around the world on YT now. It's a spotting landscape unlike anything we could have imagined 10-15 years ago.
  17. Yes indeed, I have added the star. The real challenge with this scenery is the terrain. I am not getting good results so far...
  18. My only guess is that it may be a resource management issue...
  19. I don't know if that's really possible on a wide scale. The SDK is deeply linked to the core sim...
  20. Merced finally ready for release, I ended up having to fine tune several things. (KMCE) Merced Yosemite Regional Airport / MacReady Field, Merced, CA - Airports for MSFS | Flightsim.to
  21. Didn't think PVF could improve further - I love this area! Such nice people at this airport when I went there years ago. The sierra foothills are becoming complete one by one!
  22. Yes sir, I put some note about that on flightsim.to. Just download the standalone one I uploaded, and replace the one you already have with that. Going forward it will not need to be replaced with each airport upload.
  23. For anyone who likes this kind of tiny local airport...v1.0 has been released (KLSN) Los Banos Municipal Airport, Merced County, CA - Airports for MSFS | Flightsim.to
  24. You can't know if you don't ask, was my meaning. I don't know the correct technical distinctions...I only had a PPL back in the day. But my airline pilot friends consider their Jepp packages inclusive of airport charts to be the gold standard. I guess in my mind 'navdata' is simply a catchall for navigational references + AFD info.
  25. Hope to make it down to SMX eventually, have quite a few others on the horizon unfortunately: KUKI KCCR S21 KPRB KSCK KWLW O22 KMOD Just to name a few. SCK, CCR, and PRB are pretty large and I expect to take awhile
