I did not know about the IronSim version, and to be fair it looks reasonably good.

The weather was reasonable over the ten days. However, I visited the dentist to have two fillings done the day before I travelled to Aberdeen. Unfortunately, a piece of the same tooth broke whilst having dinner the following night! I ended up having to get yet another filling at a local dentist in Scotland (and I am grateful to them for swiftly dealing with the issue), but it cost me another £260!!

I was thinking southern Spain/Gibraltar. I do not need to see the maximum 6m22s of totality. It will still be over 4 minutes from Gibraltar.

I am looking forward to the large partial solar eclipse on Wednesday. I have also mentioned next year's eclipse to family and friends, hinting that we should all go to see totality together 😎

I have an issue with the BBJ1 on final approach. it is always giving me an AIRSPEED WARNING message when I set FLAPS 25. Very annoying. Someone else also mentioned this on the PMDG forum, and (hopefully) they are checking it. It also does not automatically accept the ZFW value calculated by the FMS. EDIT: As for the PMDG sale, it will still be active when I get home from holiday later today. That 200LR is very tempting.....

I like my airports to be the very best quality, and very few freeware versions match my requirements. I am just fussy 😉

Those coloured squares usually disappear on my PC after a short time, and they are generally not visible from the cockpit of my PMDG 737. I have a similar issue at Pilot Plus EGMC Southend.

The 300ER only has one engine option.

My monitor is only 24 inches wide, and it is very obvious to me. That is in normal viewing mode. No excessive zooms.

I may have considered the 777-200LR if I had been home to confirm that the latest update has rectified the "rapid pitching up and down" issue.

Has it ever been confirmed that some users do not see the "disappearing undercarriage problem", or is this claim a bit like the stuff that balloons use to get airborne?

I think that most of us would have preferred to see AIR TRAFFIC - fixed undercarriage disappearing on AI planes when more than 50 feet away.

Some of us care a lot. I am on holiday at the moment, so I am not able to test the 777 update, but I expect the “bouncing” issue to have been resolved. That is most certainly an unrealistic behaviour, and an immersion breaker. I will have to wait until August 11 before I can test it

I did not mean the runway. I never have a problem with runways. I mean the terrain where the airport boundary meets the surrounding scenery. It should hopefully be ok, but I have been wanting a decent version of LMML for a long time. I do not want any serious terrain issues to ruin that.

Awesome news! I just hope that Malta International is reasonably flat, so that we do not get any of that PG only nonsense.

I am exactly the opposite where turbulence is concerned. I hate my aircraft bouncing around all over the place. I like it to be nice and steady.

MSFS 2024 should automatically detect the new graphics card when you run it, assuming that you have installed both the card and the drivers correctly.

....and the end result of a short discussion with a beta tester on the PMDG forum? "You don't have a problem" 🤔
