With respect to the WIP-003 video, I would prefer to see the AI planes line up with the centreline when they taxi out onto the runway. As most AVSIM users know by now, I have a bit of OCD where runway centreline alignment is concerned 😁

It would need to work with the full range of AIG models 😉

I do not mind animated people, provided that they are realistic. One of the default animations annoys me for some reason (the one where the ramp guy gives me a thumbs up). There is also a default animation of a guy in a suit walking with a briefcase. This one can literally start from nowhere, and then just vanish when the animation routine is complete. That's just daft.

Well, all I can say is that I will be disappointed if you are not there, Ray. I do understand you wanting to know which companies will be exhibiting, but these flight simulation shows mean far more to me than what products are on offer. I never get the chance to talk to other flight simmers directly in my day to day life, so attending this show to do exactly that is not something that I am going to refuse. That is priceless as far as I am concerned. Let's just see what the show organisers can do, and if they can encourage some support from the USA while they are at FS Expo 🤙

This reminds me a bit of the justice system in the western world. It should be "innocent until proven guilty", but often it sounds like "guilty until proven innocent". Maybe something to think about before flaming the OP. As for the product itself, I would love to have an AI/ATC system that behaves at least as good as that in P3D at and around airports. If this product can achieve that, then I am interested. AI planes that taxi realistically (including up and down slopes), wait for other AI planes to clear, use the correct runways, do not use any other runways unless this is logical behaviour, and realistic arrival and departure animations (rotation/flare etc). Oh, and visible landing gear would be a BIG bonus 😉😄

Come on, Ray. This announcement is the best thing that has happened to UK flight simulation since October 2019. I expect to see you there in October. I have to drive down from Cumbria, which is probably around 250 miles, but you will not see me complaining. I would have driven to Land's End in Cornwall if I had to. I will be staying for the weekend, so 250 miles in one day is no big deal.

I use a CH Flightstick Pro joystick with the PMDG 777, and I am not even touching it when the "bounce" happens.

Well, the "bounce" happens with autopilot engaged on my PC. Please note that it does not happen all of the time. Only now and again. It's just that when it does happen, it kills a rather large part of the immersion. EDIT: I have just noticed that a PMDG beta tester has responded in my thread on the PMDG forum to say that "it is on the bug list. It is a matter of priorities". That kinda indicates that a problem has been identified.

The hand crafted Gaya LEBB Bilbao is apparently one of those items that cannot be disabled, but I managed to disable it by editing the content.xml file. That eliminated the terrain mesh elevation issues at the BMWorld version of the airport. The latter now works fine.

The one I want is LMML Malta International, and preferably with a scenery package for the entire islands of Malta, Gozo and Camino.

I wonder if this is related at all to my problem now and again with the ILS 04 approach at EGSS London Stansted? All of my European airports and world updates are installed, but there are plenty of other airports and world updates that are streamed, even though I rarely use them. My object count at startup is just under 2600.

It is also worth noting here that any faulty vertical calibrations of controllers would result in either a sudden pitch down or a sudden pitch up. They would not induce a repetitive "bounce". It is that "bounce" that I find to be unrealistic, and LRBS (having been a real world pilot of the 777) has confirmed this. I see a similarity here with the "missing AI landing gear" problem. I suspect that those who are saying that they never see this issue actually mean that it does not bother them.

Not when you are landing at airports that are within city boundaries. Approaches to runway 09 at EGLC London City will take you very close to photogrammetry buildings and trees. One of the many reasons why I steer well clear of photogrammetry.

Well, this depends entirely on what is most important to the individual user. I am not lowering my settings just so that I can enable ReBar. I would rather save a small amount of VRAM on my 12GB RTX 4070 Super GPU, and keep the settings that I have now. Anyone with 24GB+ of VRAM will probably think differently.

This is absolutely fantastic news! I really hope that this is confirmed very soon, and that they can get plenty of exhibitors to attend the show. I will of course be there for both days, and I cannot wait to meet some of you for the first time. I also really hope that my friends from past events will be able to make the journey. It has been far too long since October 2019.... The choice of venue (Aerospace Bristol) is also excellent. I was hoping it would be there if RAF Cosford was not an option. I also get the chance to see another Concorde! I will have to drive further for this one, but that is irrelevant.

I am very interested in the JustFlight Fokker 70/100 package. Those two are very definitely regional jets, and they seem to fit right in my sweet spot as far as screens/dials/autopilot/FMS are concerned. The Bombardier CS100/300 (oh, sorry......I mean the Airbus A220) is a nice plane, but I am not a massive fan of these new flight decks with massive screens, and love affairs with EFBs.

Yes, I noticed it cutting the corners, and also "jerking" around those corners. I appreciate that this may be very difficult to eliminate, but wouldn't it be nice if the animation was smooth and precise? That would certainly raise my eyebrows.

So, no fix for the 777 FBW system then?

A handful of users on the PMDG forum have now confirmed that this also happens for them, so let's see where this leads....
