As new, Cockpit Simulator, also originally sold under the Cockpit Masters brand, V1 MCDU for the 737. Compatible with MSFS 2020/2024, XPlane, P3D and FSX. Plug & Play with its own bridging software. I have to say, I had used the LOD app in 2020, but after moving to 2024, ironically, I never really tried it. Unfathomable? Yes, because it did quite a good job in 2020 forme. Only a few days ago did I reinstall it and save a profile for flying my 738. I set ground level to 80 LOD, then something like 120 at 500ft, and two more settings until 15000ft and set that at 400 LOD. The ground looked fantastic! I have to do some continual tweaking to get the best from it, but I am so pleased so far.

Clearly I have done something wrong, even on low settings with a reduction on other sliders too, I get a massive hit on performance. I mean, massive, 30-40%! Unsure why, but I promise you it's there.

Remember prior to launch of MSFS and Asobo said, in not so many words, they would 'look after' the simming community and not to be concerned about the 'dumbing down' of FS?

Hmm, the LOD nonsense is a joke! I just don't understand why Asobo hasn't done something about that. It wasn't a 'thing' in 2020, it just seems the sim has progressed in some areas and gone back to the stone age in others!

No, to be fair, but I haven't been flying for a couple of days (shock horror ) But I have suffered with no terrain loading, in 2020, but only a few in 2024. But TBH, I am thoroughly disappointed with the blurry terrain that had been sorted out, to more or lesser degree in 2020, but I find it's very apparent in 24. This seems to vary, so I can only put it down to internet traffic using the sim. I have to admit at being sold, IMO, a bit of a duff by MS/Asobo. When you clearly invest in a new sim, and I don't mean just the money, but all the time and effort in reconfiguring and everything that's associated with the process, and you get a sim which has not improved on some of the very basic, important things, then I don't think it's unreasonable for people, including myself, to be more than miffed.

Hmm, we are the makers of our own destiny.... we all bought this sim, even though complete logic should tell us that if you are sharing the platform across the internet, with millions of others at the same time, then clearly it's an accident waiting to happen. The more I read posts on here and the more I experience 24's little irritations, the more I feel I should have stayed with 2020.

Believe it or not, after seventeen years of simming, this was the first major sim show I visited! I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, I mean, really enjoyed it. But as Christopher mentioned, I'm glad I didn't go on the Saturday, I can't deal with crowds and queues. So Sunday was perfect for me. There are two things I would say about hosting a show at somewhere like the NEC though, I would suspect the cost to a vendor would be pretty high and maybe even restrictive for smaller exhibitors. But on the other side of the coin, the fact that it would be held at such a big, prestigious exhibition venue, with good road and rail links, that in itself could possibly attract more of the big players. BTW, I wasn't really on the market to replace my MCDU, but after having checked out the Moza MCDU, I was sold. I bought one the day after the show! I'm in the process of rebuilding my cockpit MIP, so I thought, ah well, why not. So if anyone is looking for a pristine condition Cockpit Simulator MCDU, I have one for sale

Does anyone here have the Moza 737 MCDU working with the PMDG in 2024? I received this unit today and have spent two hours, literally trying everything to get it to work. The buttons interract with CDU in the VC, but nothing on the screen of the actual unit, apart from a message saying no communication. I've tried reinstalling the software, configuring the software, making sure the correct entries are in the PMDG ini file for broadcast, updated the app software, starting as admin, following the correct procedure when starting, ie, 1: start app, 2: connect MCDU, 3: start MSFS, different USB ports. I have reached out to Moza support, but I have a feeling they'll just reply with a list of things I've already tried. If that's the case, I don't see any option other than to return the unit, which would be a shame. Anyone with any idea?
