Hi guys, just got my eyes on RD Presets Gibraltar and wondering if anyone can give me some feedback. According to the sales blurb it is 2024 compatible. Does it run OK or are there any small issues? Also, is it possible to disable the rock, as I have seen some videos where IMO it loooks absolutely awful. More like a pile of mashed potato than a rock! Thanks.

I find myself steering towards your approach Bruce too! I have become disillusioned with BATC for some time now, the last few flights I have just used FS ATC chatter. OK, it's not proper ATC, but ya know, it's quite nice not to have to try and decide if I'm gouig to get any kind of useful descent or vectoring instructions. To date, I have very few flights where the descent instructions are anywhere near useful. Always late. Then there are times when ATC tells me to turn 180 degrees and fly a completely illogical route. On top of that, 8 out of ten flights I lose a connection with BATC.

Oh dear, this doesn't sound good. Well, if it happens again, it will definitely go in the bin! I have an early version of FSHUD, so will likely investigate that further now it has voice recognition.

I followed your suggestion Bruce, switched to local voices, and have just completed a flight from KFLL into KATL without a single disconnect! Brilliant. Fingers crossed this is the fix. Thanks for the suggestion.

Indeed, it's very easy to get to, literally one and a half miles off Junction 17 of the M5. You don't have to drive through any town or anything, all dual carriageway! BTW, I visited the museum only last week for the second time, with my brother, who was visiting from Florida. I can absolutely guarantee, that if anyone visits this beautiful aircraft, they will become quite emotional. It's awesome to stand beneath such an iconic aircraft which was such a triumph of British engineering. BTW, my brother really enjoyed some simming during his visit!

Hi matey, relieved (in a good way) to hear I'm not the only one with this issue. It has been suggested, and I have yet to test, that it may be the amount of other apps using simconnect(?) So, I have a raft of apps, FSUIPC, Axis&Ohs, SPAD, Rex Atmos, PropWash radios, Cockpit Simulator bridge software for the CDU and possibly one or two others I have missed. Presumably, all these are using Simconnect at the same time. Do you have a lot of similar addons using Simconnect?

Hi Bill, sure, I've just upgraded our broadband to 900Mb/s, so that's not the issue. It's odd because it's the same problem I have always had with this program. As I say, it was the same before in Win10 with MSFS2020. I don't know where to go with this, crazy! BTW, this must be the longest 'early access' product I have ever used!

It says, not exact words, but... BATC has lost connection. It's not just a question of hitting OK, as all the AI disappear too!

Please don't shout at me for being so 'sharp,' but I'm absolutely at the end of my tolerance level with this program. I know it's likely something to do at my end, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out. I had the same issue in MSFS2020 in Win10 as I am having now in 2024 with Win 11... losing connection, not now and again, but on every single flight. Today has taken the biscuit, I just gave up with it after having seven disconnects in the space of an hour! Ridiculous. I have tried everything suggested online. Reinstall, start as admin, add exe as an exclusion in Win AV, check simconnect, starting BATC correctly, once at the gate and in the VC, checked BATC status page... I am at a loss as to what the issue can be. If anyone has any idea, then I'd be happy to hear, otherwise, it's in the bin!
