I'm hoping someone can offer some help with my dilemma. For some reason, that I have been unable to work out, all the buttons and switches on my yoke no longer work. The only one that works to some description is the push toggle switch on the right, but for some reason it no longer works as originally assigned, but has replaced another assignment to another button on the left which changes views! It's virtually unusable. At first I thought it may be software issue, so I have checked the functioning in the windows joystick panel only to show that the all axis work, but none of the buttons. This has been confirmed when doing a similar test on another computer too. I have removed the yoke handle and reconnected to confirm a good connection. I have tried another USB cable, only to get similar results. As someone who is not electronics savvy, I'm getting anxious as how to proceed, as it seems Fulcrumsim is no longer trading (?) I love the unit and am desparate to get it fixed. I need to add, that I have taken a close look inside the unit and the yoke shaft etc, to not see any loose wiring or similar. If someone could offer some advice I would be very grateful. Cheers.

Blimey Mike, that's outrageous. You really should real in the insults and offensive language. A good job you don't live in Scotland, otherwise you'd be getting a visit from the thought police!

Oddly, only today did I experience an issue, which I have hardly ever experienced in the past. For some reason, when I began to steer the aircraft and use the throttle after start up, nothing happened. When I went into FSUIPC I found that the assignments page was non existent! I had to come out of the sim and then restart the flight. A lot of faff, but it worked. Unsure what went on, but I will update shortly in the hope this issue doesn't rear it's head again.

It's a trend. I find Orbx a 'sell out' to it's once loyal customer base. Originally created by John Venema, their sceneries were beautifully crafted by a small, hand picked group of enthusiastic individuals. Now, like many other things in today's society, it always seem to be about profit above quality. As has been pointed out, Orbx is now simply a reseller of addons, which is fine, but from where I sit, if a business is going to go down that route then they should lay down a set of quality control parameters that developers should have to adhere to when developing their addons. I recently bought a scenery which was a version 2 of an Italian airport and it was advertised as having 4K textures for the terminal... well, there was no way in a million years that the textures were anything close to what I know of as 4K! I asked for a full refund literally within minutes of loading the scenery. I have backed off from buying sceneries from Orbx for that reason. I want to be able to buy a scenery which has a reputable brand associated with it, knowing that when my money leaves my bank account, I am not going to see it as a waste of money.

I agree about the AI implementation etc, but there is no way in a million years I would pay anything like $30 a month for this, and I'm pretty sure many other simmers would feel the same way.

Sure, that was the reason I never used DLSS etc but having given it some time, I find the much sharper ground textures and virtually no shimmering textures around airports, is a bonus which, for me, outweighs the instrument smearing. Having said that, I am now experiencing freezes!! The last three flights, in fact, the only flights I have done with DLSS/DLAA + DX12 have each ended with a freeze, where nothing in the VC is operational. It seems my experience with this new found setting is going to be short lived. Can anyone tell me whether these freezes are associated with DX12 or the DLSS settings and if others are reporting the same?

Ah ha, sure, my pic shows the RD Presets version, which I'm unsure why they changed it from the default. IMO the default looks far better. I wonder if there is a file pertinent to only the rock which can be switched off in the RDP scenery?

Sure Rob, but the issue isn't blurriness, as this is cured by using DLAA, the issue is a smearing of the digits as they move.

I've dipped in and out of using DLSS/DLAA with DX12, and never really stuck with it, mainly because of the odd shimmering around the inside of the windshield and the smearing of the digits on the PFD and ND etc.in the PMDG 738. However, I followed to the letter, information in a YT video that was part of a thread elsewhere on the forum and have been really impressed with the results. I've seen a small increase in performance by using DLSS with DLAA, certainly worth having, but mostly a big increase in quality. I've been plagued forever with the jaggies and aliasing when using TAA, so it has come as a breath of fresh air. However, the shimmering around the inside of the windshield and smearing of digits on the displays, still remains in the PMDG 738. I remember some time ago about this anomoly being talked about on the forum and there was some suggestion from PMDG that the issue could be addressed. I'm resigned to 'live with' the anomoly but I'm wondering if anyone here knows of a way of eradicating the issue or if indeed have heard of it being addressed in some update. I'm interested in hearing fellow simmers' thoughts on this.

Hmm, well, this is a first for me. The whole sim just crashed half way through a flight. Never had that before. Dunno if it's anything to do with what others are experiencing.

It looks like I may have it back. I wish I could help others to understand what the problem is, but I've updated the Xbox app and logged out and back into my accounts, reinstalled a backup from January, updated Win10 and after a few button clciks it seems to be OK.

Wow, what a great afternoon I've had. First MS would crash and wouldn't start, then reinsrtalled a backup, now I can't get into MS because Xbox app won't update. Oh, delightful, now I click on the MSFS icon to try and start and it opens up the MS store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, thought I'd hit a wall at some point! Just tried loading MS and the sim crashed. It's impossible for me to get anywhere after getting an error message saying this game has crashed Error code: (0xc0000005) I've updated Xbox game bar and MS store, exited accounts and restarted and still no joy. Really miffed about this. Is anyone else experiencing this? Anyone have any ideas? EDIT: Hmm, dunno what's gone oing on, but now I can't even do a Win10 update. EDIT: Just done a system restore. Still no joy

I haven't flown for a week, so it looks like I will have lots to look forward to!
