  1. I don't understand, as the west runway is depicted in a FSX freeware scenery, and also with the P3D Simwimgs release.
  2. Hmm, glad to see it isn't just me. But hey ho.... how long has this been now? Sorry, but I agree with some of the sentiments here. It is unacceptable and Carenado should provide some kind of feedback to it's customers. Interestingly, this is my first Carenado purchase for ten years... we will have to wait and see.
  3. I need to be upfront and honest, I have very little interest or ability in electronics, hence why my currrent cockpit is full of pre-built panels. I have just bought the CPflight MCP/EFIS, Propwash Radio and AP panels and the RealSimGear GNS530 in readiness to build a new, redesigned generic MIP. However, I no longer want to use the Saitek panels which I already have, and would like to build a switch panel that has some simple switches which gives me functionality for things such as lights, wipers, landing gear etc. I also need to have an option for button pushes for AP reset/AT reset FMC reset etc for the NGX. I'd also like to have a knob to control instrument lighting in the NGX too. But, as I say, I have very, very limited knowledge of electronics and none of building switch panels. From what information I have gleaned from searching online and watching YT videos, it is a pretty straightforward process to wire up the buttons/switches to a board and then a USB to the PC. But I'm sure it really isn't that easy in practice. eg, what board do I need? what rotating switches do I need? What about the connections and different switches? Will they be recognised by FSUIPC or LINDA? I'm sure I'm coming across as a complete dullard, but if someone could point me towards some information that could help, or perhaps offer some personal advice, I'd be extremely grateful. Thanks fellas, appreciated.
  4. Hey Paul, just gotta jump in here and say how great it is to see you back in the groove! Or should I say, pilot's seat!
  5. I made a decision right from the start to keep flying the NGX in P3Dv4.5 and then use MSFS for all GA flying. It seems to work well, although I really miss my A2A aircraft, but I guess that's just a matter of time.
  6. Yup, no crashes for me at all until the update. CTD on approach to airport.
  7. I think the community has been very forgiving and tolerant up to now. At the end of the day, good money has been spent from the pockets of many loyal supporters, and Asobo should stop spending so much time on eye candy updates, which is all very nice, but spend time fixing some of the real, perfectly justified gripes of their customers. These kinds of issues are frankly unacceptable in my opinion.
  8. offensive initials not allowed is going on with this. After a load of nonsense yesterday I decided to do a backup from four weeks ago. Nothing much has changed apart from the recent update. All tickety boo I thought, and now the darn thing is losing connection all the time. Neither can I access the marketplace! I've spent all afternoon trying to get this to work. Grrrrr, very frustrated!
  9. I can't remember, as I didn't download from Steam, but if you jst go and start the game, I think it wilol take you to the download procedure.
  10. No, that's just the preliminary download. The actual main download is about 90Gb.
  11. Ah, same as me John. So it sounds like there is an issue. Perhaps I should change the title of the thread, as I have camera views but can't move around with the keyboard arrows.
  12. Both the default C150 and the Carenado Mooney. Really don't know what's happened. The only other thing that I've installed is FSUIPC, but I can't see that would have done anyhting... (?)
  13. Oh dear, another dog's dinner! I've just downloaded the latest update, only an hour ago, and already there are problems with the camera views in the VC. They don't work! Zilch, nada, nothing. I can't move around the cockpit with the keyboadr arrows. Is anyone else experiencing this?
  14. Only last week did I part with some cash to purchase the MCP & EFIS from the Italian based company CPflight. It arrived securely sealed and delivered within 4 days! Fantastic service. The quality of these panels is superb. I can't wait to install them. I hope you like the video, which I stress, was filmed with what little time I had.
  15. I hope and pray that a third party dev, like REX, will produce some replacement cloud textures, if at all this is possible. For me, I have always thought the clouds look awful. Sure, overall, from a distance, the atmosphere and immersion they produce is stunning, but this is far too often spolied by clouds that look pixilated, and have been drawn by a child! I'm surprised so may don't share this view
  16. I have been experiencing some very concerning frame loss scenarios when ulocking (undocking?) a window such as AS, VoxAtc or FS2crew and dragging them to my second monitor. They would literally drop to between 12-15fps! At first I thought it had something to do with Vsync or locked framerates and then of course, why should that suddenly appear out of nowhere? Sooo.... it appears that the Nvidia control panel is the culprit. I had been trying out limiting frames, using adaptive Vsync and a couple of other things in the list and saving the changes specific to P3d. First I thought the issue was limiting framerates in NCP and then perhaps using adaptive Vsync, but it seems, after confirming about a dozen flights that if any one of the options is used and saved, then the framerates continue to drop down to, in some instances, as low as 12-15fps! Once I had unchecked all the options and made them global, things went back to normal in P3d. However, what I did, and I'm unsure whether this needs to be done, but once I had gone back into the graphics options of P3d, I made a change, it doesn't matter what it is, as long as you then save the option in the control panel. I have read similar experiences among other simmers on several forums, so I hope this helps. 😃
  17. I'm interested if anyone has made the jump from a 43" 16:9 to a 49" Super Ultra Wide 32:9. This is something I am considering and building a cockpit to support the view, so the loss of height is not an issue, as instruments will be running on Air Manager on a 15" separate monitor. I'm more interested in hearing about the immersion and whether the move across to such a drastically different viewing system actually works. Thanks fellas.
  18. I originally posted this on the hardware forum but thought I'd repost here as having not had any response. Has anyone any experience with this outfit? The prices seem to be really good. Appear to be some happy campers on YouTube. Would appreciate some feedback from anyone around here regarrding the quality. Thanks.
  19. Yes, I agree. But I'm unsure how a buyer stands with a manufacturer's guarantee when buying soemthing off Ebay from a private seller.
