This thread is on BATC's new feature "live traffic." So it's fair to compare it to FSHUD. The voice quality and phraseology are very important to me, but even more important to me, is being able to complete an IFR flight from start to finish with a reliable ATC system. I get a reliable ATC from BATC about 10% of the time. That 1 out of 10 flights is what keeps me hoping that one day BATC will get it right. I don't need "live traffic" especially if it's experimental and I need to pay for a subscription. What I need is a reliable ATC system that works with AI Traffic every time. That's what I paid for and I'm still waiting for years later.

The one thing that I felt could use improvement was the voice quality. Have they improved? I wanted to try it, but they do not offer a trail.

Thanks Farlis. It just seems like it's taking a lot longer. I don't want to pay $30 for it to be released next week. I'm also not having as much fun with the latest version. I'm praying that they get this right, because when BATC works, it's a gratifying experience. This new feature is also making me consider a Navigraph sub, something I never wanted to do.

The ATC chatter is a mess. I see why it's disabled on initial install. I was able to do a couple of IFR flights. I have not tried the VFR portion. 24 hours is not enough time to fully test this complex add-on. Maybe, I'll try it again in 6 months. Maybe by then BATC will finally get fixed. For me, the last update, was a step in the wrong direction.

How much longer before the experimental is released for all users? I'd really like to test this new feature and the new VFR addition. Thank you.

I must say that my 1st flight was very good experience. Let's see if the next flight is just as much fun!

This always happens. I asked a question and a few minutes later I discovered that there are settings in the portal that need to be enabled.

Does anyone know if it offer ATC chatter enroute or how can it be increased? It's too quiet for me. 😁

Interesting. I never saw any issues with the bridges in New Orleans. I'm now using https://dfflyerdirect.com/products/new-orleans-la It looks great with LatinVFR's KMSY. There's also a nice freeware available at flightsim.to I don't use msfs 2020 anymore, but I do know that you can enable dev mode and create an exclusion file. Then add the exclusion file to you community folder. I did this for the Brooklyn Bridge in NYC and it worked. I had to watch some videos to lean how to do it, but if I did so can anyone else.

Try it out! There are plenty of airport & scenery add-ons at flightsim.to that don't say that they are compatible with v2024, and when I try them, they work.

For those of you looking for Niagra Falls, Bijan issued an update that includes Niagara Falls. I added the freeware version from flightsim.to: mazermart-airport-cysn-niagara I think that this is the best we're going to get for now:

So in about 7 days, Matteo managed to fix most issues. This looks like it went from one of the worst airports ever created, to one of the best airports in less than a week. That's impressive! Can someone please test if GA airplanes are parked in the Signature parking area or are there Airliners placed where they should not be? Last question, has anyone tested this airport with BATC? Thanks.

I just recently learned that from Ryan. I need to find a site that offers free plates for the entire world. They do not have to be current. I still have the old SimCharts DVDs. I might need to pull those out of my case.

After watching the video, I decided to start my sim checkout at LSZC. After some practice landings, I went to LSZS, then flew my to LSZA where I ended my scenic flight.

I'm really enjoying Carenado's PC-24. The only thing that I wish could be better, is the engine sounds. There's an annoying hissing sound. I managed to drown it a liitle with FSR+. I love that you can access LIDO charts on the screen. It makes me wonder why devs keep pushing Navigraph subs when LIDO charts are good enough. This afternoon enroute to KOPF: Bad weather on arrival, and she handled it beautifully! Jose

It's turned out that ASOBO did give me a native v. 2024 Longitude. At $30 this is still a no brainer for me when it arrives at the Marketplace. I just wish they would have added a special private version with a working HUD. That would have been even more appealing to me.

I own the standard version of MSFS 2024 and now own the Carenado PC24 for only $15. 😃 Pretty smart of me, don't you think Bert?

Even though it's still a work in progress, I recommend BATC with the AIG fleet. You don't need a navigrapg sub. It's getting better and you can contribute to these talented devs by buying additional premium voice packs or join the experimental. There are some flights where I'm just blown away by how great the addon is, but sometimes it doesn't do as well as I'd like. Try it!
