I chose MSFS for one main reason, VISUALS. The other two main sims don't offer that even with tons of add-ons. I don't need a 737 Pilot to verify what I and "we" already know. Lots of vapid back and forth will never change reality.

No wonder every time I checked for a new release, it was on hold. LOL When I started as a Mobile DJ in the early 90s, my goal was to build a business based on WOM referrals. I was able to achieve that by providing a friendly, reliable, caring, and ethical service. That attitude carried over to my CFI service. There was no social media in those days. Today, integrity is one the most important characteristic of a personalized service, and bad WOM can spread rapidly.

You have to disable default AI and use the injector. That mean that you can only use AST or FSLTL.

It's my only sim, so I'd say is "pretty dam" important. 😀

Even at the discounted price of $24, I have to think long and hard before I buy it. I had the XP version and it never matured to what was promised.

Is this a recommended AI Traffic add-on?

If you can get the Acceleration Disc, go that route. It's a nice collector's item to have with FSX.

I think I have every version installed. Issue is probably related to FSX SP1 & SP2 needing to be installed. Acceleration had the updates included.

There's also SP1 & SP2 for FSX. But, I think that FSX Steam edition for $5 should work. Black Friday is right around the corner. 😀 Can't confirm as I have original FSX & Accel DVDs installed.

Sorry for the delay Bernard. I have not had the chance to visit AVSIM and chat with my friends. All I did was install FSX and Acceleration. Opened the GoFlight software and loaded my saved config. Then closed the GoFlight software. I loaded MSFS, then GFDevFSX.exe, and all my GoFlight Modules lit and worked as in prior sims. No errors.

It might work with FS9 installed. You can purchase the FSX Steam version for $5 when on sale. I have not tried a dummy version. I doubt that it will work.

Do What I did. Install FSX and don't bother even opening it. You will never need it. Install the latest GoFlight software and set up all your modules as you did with FSX. Then close the GF Software. You will never need to run this again unless you want to make some changes. Now create a shortcut on the desktop to your GFDevFSX.exe. Run GFDevFSX.exe then run MSFS 2020 and your GoFlight Modules will light up and work as they did in FSX. I was blown away when I discovered that they worked. Today I use the add-on linker to automatically open GFDevFSX.exe without a hitch. Good luck. Jose

Vic, That was rude of me to say and I was just fooling around. They are still among the best developers for MSFS & P3D. I'm sure that there was a very good reason for not porting over their KTPA. Plus, we will soon see KTPA by another popular developer. Best regards. Jose

It does work and I can automatically run the .bat with the addon linker. You have to follow the video I posted in the other thread.

@Bobsk8 that was painful to watch.

I'd would like to see the following airports enhanced ASAP: KTPA KSPG (My favorite airport in the Tampa Bay area.) PHNL (I love Hawaii.) (Most of the other island airports are enhanced, I just need the main airport.) KFRG (Where I did most my flight training from PP to CFI.) KBKV (My home airport.) Even though there's a very good freeware, I'd love to see a complete version of my home airport.

This topic & thread is a good example of why we wanted MSFS to be a fully working sim instead of a platform for 3rd party developers. My conclusion is that MSFS is just another FSX/P3D & XPlane. What we wanted to avoid is now a reality because ASOBO chose to focus on enhancing the scenery instead of focusing on the important core sim features we've clamored for since the day the sim released.
