Second After Citation X

Featured Replies

Hello

I never really cared for corporate jets until I picked up the Citation X last weekend. Maybe I'm just falling in love too easily but I am absolutely loving it. Now I'm already looking to add another bizjet and could use some advice. Should I go for the WT Longitude or the Flightfx Piaggio Avanti (not a true jet, but it's fast). Which one do you think has closer quality to Citation X? Thank you.

I don't have experience of the Citation X - but as intro to Business jets - I love the Lear 35 - but these last few weeks - because of my use of the Longitude in 2020 - I have enjoyed the new Skywards Sovereign - the big sister of the Longitude

FSReborn Phenom! I think the Phenom is the best business jet available in the sim for sure

the Contrail Falcon 50 is a great bird, fits a bit of the older style as well similar to the Citation X, if you want something that isn't Garmin based like the Sovereign or Phenom.

This is an amazing time to be a bizjet lover! You already found the C750 (quality of life updates coming Soon TM)

Here's some strong points of further options....

Skyward C680 - superb flight model and soundset (I mean it - the sound is maybe the best for any addon), superb climber, excellent at short fields

FSR Phenom 300E - superb systems depth and unique FBO system, good at short field, good climber into the low 30s

FlightFX Piaggio P180 - nice EFB, flight model, sounds

Flysimware Lear 35 - Excellent soundset, flight model (2024 native), great climb performance

Contrail Falcon 50 - a unique retro experience, especially with a very different avionics suite, relatively speedy flight plan about mach .82 in the 30s

Default 2024 Longitude - fastest of all of these (mmo .84) - in depth systems, beautiful visuals

There is an upcoming iniBuilds Global 6000 as well as the WT/Microsoft Embraer Praetor - both use Pro Line Fusion avionics. I'm HIGHLY awaiting these two bizjets. FlightFX has a few things up their sleeve as well ;) I almost forgot about the upcoming Just Flight Lear 45!

Hey Ryan - can you expand on this a little? Now I'm hooked!

I have never understood the love the Learjet 35 gets.
To me its not even close to the other ones mentioned here.

It would be a step down from the Citation X . Would not be my choice for a second Bizjet.

I seem to be in the minority however.

I agree whole heartedly!

I love them all. Each one has its own attribute that makes it great for the type of flying you want to do. We finally got a flood of bizjets in 2024, why do we have to rate which is best and what comes in second. Enjoy just flying them all. Folks also forgot to include the Xtreme Prototype Learjet GLJ model 25A which is a joy to fly which is another great and different jet to fly.

I guess a lot of people like analog gauges. The 2024 lear 35 at least, is pretty in depth with solid systems, excellent sounds, and a decent flight model (at least that's what one of their testers told me who flew it). Plus it has dual TDS GTNxi support which allows you have more modern flexibility. I don't mind analog gauges but I like to be able to shoot all kinds of approaches and not just NDB/VOR/LOC/ILS.

The L35 feels like a leather wrapped old school analog 70s luxury sports car and the Citation X is a more sophisticated modern tech luxury experience. While the L35 feeling much more raw on power and much more challenging to land. Its really 70s Corvette vs modern Corvette with the two. Was worried the L35 would loose it's distinct feeling from FSX to MSFS platform but Flysimware did a great job on its experience transition.

Depends on what one is in the mood for. I usually hop in the L35 when I wanna feel like 1980s Attorney Lawrence Thurmond from Miami Vice in his L25A. Nothing beats the sound and brute power of those Garrett TFE731-2 turbofan engines on takeoff.
