  1. I definitely think so - I'm hardly a jet pilot, just a PPL IR, but even that knowledge makes the old school steam gauge ops MUCH more approachable. Before I had my rating it was completely daunting to fly a plane without any kind of map or situational awareness help.
  2. I'm not here to knock the Learjet, it's a great addon and it's a great plane, but I suspect the crossover between people who enjoy these more modern business jets and the Learjet 35 is quite small. It's such a completely different flying experience that I think just because you enjoy the Citation does not mean you'll enjoy the Learjet and vice versa. Now the upcoming Learjet 45 from Justflight would be a different story, but I don't know how far out that is. Given Justflight's pace of development I doubt it'll be this year.
  3. The yellow chevrons merely indicate an area that is not usable for taxi, takeoff, and landing. There is no specific marking to differentiate a stopway and a blastpad. AIM 2-3-3, i, 1: 'Chevrons. These markings are used to show pavement areas aligned with the runway that are unusable for landing, takeoff, and taxiing. Chevrons are yellow. (See FIG 2-3-7.)'
  4. As a fellow study-level snob I have to say the Citation X is a lot better than I would've guessed. The sounds and cockpit environment are really well done, and while it currently does have a few FMS issues (specifically go-arounds) I've actually flown it quite a bit. Apparently there's an update coming that's supposed to really improve the FMS and Avionics, and I think if that lives up to the promise it'll be hard to pass up.
  5. What do you feel isn't polished about the GNS-XLS? I've found that once you get used to the UI quirks (which I can only assume are true to the real unit) it's pretty easy to whiz around and I haven't had any major fumbles with it yet.
  6. Lear is definitely harder though, the Falcon still has an FMS and magenta line. Also not quite as much of a rocket on takeoff which keeps things manageable when you have restrictions and such.
  7. the Contrail Falcon 50 is a great bird, fits a bit of the older style as well similar to the Citation X, if you want something that isn't Garmin based like the Sovereign or Phenom.
  8. It's a fully simulated Falcon 50 - Simulated to the same degree as other addons like Justflight/Skyward/etc. It behaves as it should by the book.
  9. The contrail has a real RNAV-capable avionics suite. the FSW just had VOR navigation so needed the (unrealistic, mind you) GTN option to offer modern navigation capabilities.
  10. New dev update on the synaptic A220 - looking quite detailed! iniBuilds ForumSynaptic A220 Development Update - June 2026Now that FSExpo 2026 has wrapped up, we’d like to thank everybody who came to the Synaptic & iniBuilds booth to try out the A220; the support and excitement we’ve seen validates the hard work and long
  11. At least for the the A350 is significantly better performing than the A380 (20-30+ frame difference). If the A380 performs even as well as the A350 it will be far more flyable than the FBW is in it's current state even on 4k textures.
  12. Given their A350 has full FLS/GLS/SLS approach abilities I'd be shocked if the A380 didn't.
  13. It's a huge upgrade.
  14. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. Better to have a 2026-current ORD than whenever FSDT last updated theirs :) Also, their most recently released major aiport (HKG) is IMO one of the best sceneries available. Hopefully ORD can match that
  15. But DFW looks awful in reality. I think they captured that pretty well!
