  1. In fairness though, that one country buys more business jets than every other country combined.
  2. No timeline or official roadmap but we know for sure hes working on a few aircraft at the moment that include: Commander 114 Commander 685, 690B King Air (variant unknown) I think he mentioned on his forums that the 114 is probably the next plane to release, but don't quote me on it.
  3. Definitely worth it, they've added the new control tower and all FBOs have been completely remodeled with full interiors. All considered it took TEB from being a pretty good rendition to the best GA airport in the sim. It's also slightly required as if you stick to V1 you have a big ugly photogrammetry version of the new control tower encroaching on the scenery.
  4. The Skyward should be quite high quality, similar level to the Phenom I would think. the C680 is a bit different from a longitude, better short field performance so can fly into some more interesting/challenging airports. Also has Auto throttle unlike the Phenom which I'm sure will sway some users.
  5. For most developers I think it's become a full time job for them. Certainly for the bigger devs like inibuilds and MK Studios. Regarding google earth, these days it's not enough. Certainly a helpful tool but without site visits it's very hard to achieve the level of quality of the top developers.
  6. Nothing sad about it Ray, what was considered "top tier" in P3D is all available in MSFS - FSDT KORD and KIAH, FlyTampa EHAM and KLAS, etc. But it's just not the standard anymore. Devs like iniBuilds, Pyreegue, Dreamflight and others have pushed the boundaries and shown us what can be done. Compare FSDT KORD with iniBuilds KJFK, X-Codr KDEN, MK Studios KSEA though and you can see why people want a new O'Hare scenery. Some P3D devs like Flightbeam have met the challenge and produced even better work than they did in P3D, and UK2000 have produced a lot of respectable smaller airports. On top of this the library of excellent freeware sceneries from people like Cat3d, Danielsjam, Vincent Bazillio, Bullfrog, Vortex, and others are at a level that would have commanded top-tier prices in p3D and we're lucky enough to have hundreds of airports around the world at this standard for free. It's truly a blessing and more proof that we are in a new golden age of flightsim.
  7. Just wait for the Skyward C680+ which is coming very soon.
  8. Sometimes I feel like people are so traumatized by the PMDG forums that they ascribe that level of petty censorship to every dev. There are people posting WASM crash memes on the inibuilds discord and they don't get banned, do people really think they ban people for constructive feedback?
  9. For more explanation, RNAV SID/STARs are a post-GPS invention. SID/STARs existed before GPS of course, but they were defined by radio navigation aids like VORs and ADFs. See this chart from Kai Tak for example - as you can see these procedures are easily flown using only dual VOR receivers. There are also still many non-RNAV procedures still out there, I've also attached a chart from JFK showing a non-RNAV arrival that again is easily flown using only your nav radios. INS was purely used for flying across the ocean or other areas where there was a lack of navigation aids. They were never used, nor meant to be used, as a means of terminal guidance. Once the aircraft was back within range of a radio beacon, radio navigation would be resumed.
  10. ATA had -500s so they probably weren't making a stop on that flight.
  11. Lijiang by Skysoft - It was awesome flying through the valley on approach and still landing at over 7000'. I can only imagine how much better it would be in MSFS with the global imagery. In a similar vein, Hangzhou & Kunming by WFSS as well as Bridge Shenzhen - all have renditions in MSFS but they are not as good as what we had for these airports in P3D. Hopefully WF update their renditions, but seems they're busy focusing on Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
  12. Somehow they get worse with every release. I dare say even the Aerosoft Airbus X all the way back in FSX had a better model than this.
  13. It'd be one thing if it was just lower res textures, but it's just sloppy. Floating geometry, intersecting models and animations, poor texture work - it's just bad. Biggest examples are that the slats, flaps, and gear doors are just floating in space with the linkages either not properly connected or not modelled at all. See: Again, it's not that it's lower detail or lower res that's the problem, it's that it's inaccurate in really obvious ways and attention to detail in basic things like animations is totally lacking. People make fun of PMDGs models but they are a significant step above this in both accuracy and texture work, let alone compared to Fenix/Inibuilds/TFDI.
  14. As much as the Garmin stuff gets boring it certainly lends itself to the Mouse + Keyboard control inputs of flight sim much better than the Pro Line does 😄 Did a flight in the P180 yesterday and was really impressed. Engine spools a little fast on startup but overall felt good, Other than Blacksquare (which is 3x the price, in fairness) it's probably the best turboprop I've flown.
  15. So excited for this, and cool to have the amphibious version. I got to sit in the cockpit of one a little while ago on the ground and it's amazing how high up you are. Pilot said it's the same cockpit height as an E-jet and I believe it.
