November 30, 20241 yr I want to talk about this ATC add-on, because I think is really good and worth a look. I love how easy it is to set up, load a simbrief flight plan, the airport map & route, the flight plan route you're cleared to fly, airplane ATC customization, etc. I wish that the voices sounded a little better, such as those I've heard on BATC. I also wish that during taxi I was not asked to contact the tower to cross at every runway. Ground control usually tells you to hold short or cross the runway. What are your thoughts on this contact tower while taxing clearance? So far it's been stable even though it's still in Beta and I'm looking forward to its future development. Please share your opinions on FSHUD 2.0 Beta for MSFS 2020. Thanks. Jose MSFS
November 30, 20241 yr For me, a "must have" since I tried. Stable, having updates, interact with Ai Traffic (some times I can see 3 in line to land following a star), so great ATC for my needs

November 30, 20241 yr Ive enjoyed using FSHUD 2.0 with FSLTL over the last couple of months in FS2020. It has added a lot of immersion to the sim. It seems that if I want to continue to use it in FS2024 there is an 18 euro "upgrade" fee. That being the case I think I'll try BATC, although I know at the moment it is not as fully functional as FSHUD 2.0 in terms of AI traffic.
November 30, 20241 yr I really liked FSHUD V2. My experience is the same as Vel above...I purchased FSHUD 30 days before you could purchase directly from the developer. Had I known, I would have waited because I prefer to purchase directly from the developer. Now that there is an upgrade fee, I am definitely considering BATC. Compared to the upgrade fee, BATC is only about 10 USD more...and I'm supporting another developer. I'm holding back only because AI traffic has not been released (unless I purchase the supporter version). November 30, 20241 yr FSHUD with AIG and it's native traffic injection has actually dramatically improved my sims performance!! I am using it with 2020, don't like the upgrade fee to 2024 either, I've only owned it for 2 months in 2020! With AIGTC in New York it would load 200+ planes, a lot of them were parked at JFK or LaGuardia even if I was using Newark. With FSHUD I have set me limits to 100 Active and 100 Parked aircraft. Leaving Newark I had 40 active and 50 parked aircraft. The skies felt alive but 90 aircraft opposed to 200 made a huge difference in performance. At first I wondered why I was only seeing 1/2 the traffic then I realized FSHUD was probably not Parking another 100 aircraft at JFK and LaGuardia. So zero impact to my sim experience but tremendously positive on performance. I still get things like some weird vectors and when I landed at Newark after restarting the sim and doing the return leg I had 50 parked aircraft but zero active. So it's not perfect yet but massively improved over the last few versions Agreed the voices could be better and it's frustrating that other AI and controllers use the voice you have assigned yourself. Very confusing when you hear your selected voice but it's a controller talking to other traffic. I also LOVE the ability to run it on a client machine which means no additional windows open within the sim. Very positive so far! I've used it extensively since v2 became available in alpha. IMO voices sound good, also there have been quite a few regional accents added now. Voice recognition is mostly very good. For some reason it can struggle to pick up simple readbacks e.g. "left heading 270", but it always understands the IFR clearance. Vectors to final is usually very good, also for non-precision approaches, with some glitches here and there. Contacting TWR when crossing a runway: I have no idea if this is realistic or not. Btw FSHud v2 now works with 2024. Edited November 30, 20241 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
November 30, 20241 yr I just got FSHUD and it is great. Only problem for me has been I can't run it without disabling my anti virus. I've even made exceptions to the program and its DLLs. Also, if I launch the program before I am in the sim and ready to fly, MSFS 2024 will just spin and spin and never load. Edited November 30, 20241 yr by Lotharen

I just fly the plane and sit back and listen to the chatter. Occasionally I check the FP and go direct to cleared to. It's growing on me. MSFS

November 30, 20241 yr Since I have PSXT/AIG for AI traffic, I don't care about AI management. Hence, FSHud is my ultimate choice for simplicity and flexibility. My biggest "no-go" for BATC is lack of flexibility (i.e user's ability to override ATC instructions and select runways/SID/STARS/ approaches/IAF/FAF etc). FSHud has it all 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

That to me is understandable when it will cost me $70 to upgrade to msfs 2024. A sim that was no where near ready when it was released. I'm holding short on that upgrade. MSFS
