November 30, 20241 yr I used FSHUD but the upgrade for older users who purchased through third party is a joke, so I moved to BATC
November 30, 20241 yr I have used FSHud for a few years and loved it. But imho BATC has overtaken the throne now. After using both for almost a year I decided to not install FSHud anymore after my latest OS reinstall and go fully for BATC. A few random reasons: - I prefer the BATC interface - I prefer BATC's basic voices - I think BATC's terminology is far more realistic (supporting both FAA and ICAO automatically) - I was never fond of FSHud having to install the latest Navigraph AIRAC itself online - BATC simply reads what is in the sim - BATC uses correct baro (hPa or inches) automatically I only just heard about the FSHud upgrade price which also makes me happy I went for BATC. To me BATC simply feels more complete and more realistic and simply better.

Can you run it on a client machine remotely, is there an option fo non voice control (buttons/keystrokes) and can you automate the comm's to a "co-pilot?" Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
November 30, 20241 yr I'm flying in MSFS2020 in historical mode with live weather, therefore BATC read live weather as well and directs me to the runways that are currently in use, not how it's been a few hours ago. If traffic flow goes to the pair of 9L/R at EGLL, BATC directs me to 27L/R according to current weather and nothing I can do about it. If they add this option one day, I will switch. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

Since I don't have AS, then I cannot comment, but it's worth to ask BATC owners whether it "talks" to AS historical weather or not 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

No, but someone created some sort of mod though (just this week) which enables you to do certain things (like button control) using a web browser. 2. Yes. I never use voice and either click on a command in the UI or use a button for the number 1 option (which changes depending on the circumstances). It's perhaps a bit limited but it works fine for me. There also is a button option to toggle the UI. 3. Yes. You can either do everything yourself, let a co-pilot respond and/or let a co-pilot set the freqs. Since I always fly alone I only use auto-respond and in that case the co-pilot is in fact me, the pilot..

November 30, 20241 yr New update, looks like a good one: No lineup instruction - I've been hoping for this for quite a while now. Enhanced voice recognition - promising as there are certain instructions that are tricky to readback correctly. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
November 30, 20241 yr I WISH we could get a solution for career mode whereby we can use FSHud and not the crappy in game ATC. If you neglect to use the in game solution you get docked so much reputation you can't progress. As for FSHud, it's brilliant. I simply cannot fathom how people choose solutions that don't manage traffic, (how is this ATC? It's just C!) BATC has potential but it's behind when it comes to actually controlling traffic. Each to their own of course. Edited November 30, 20241 yr by Langeveldt

A sim that was no where near ready when it was released. I'm holding short on that upgrade. Yes the additional charge is to use it with FS2024. It is not really understandable to me considering that if I bought it today, I would pay one single price and be able to use it with both FS2020 and FS2024 without any additional charge. If people want to pay an additional fee, that is a personal choice. I'll use it as an opportunity to spend the money on trying a competitor product and decide which best meets my needs.

Each to their own of course. I have to agree, it’s a strong point of FSHud vectoring the traffic in the same pattern - seeing an aircraft in front of you and one turning based behind you. And the separation works great including heading and speed change instructions. The controllers are so nice. Remove the "when able" and just say descend. LOL MSFS
December 1, 20241 yr I decided to upgrade for MSFS 2024. While I purchased FSHud near the end of September, and was not included in the free upgrade, I got to thinking FSHud has been very supportive since P3D. I was concerned that FSHud might close up shop... Since FSHud moved his product from Flight1 to his own website, my thinking is that FSHud needed more income to continue. This may very well be the reason FSHud also added the MSFS 2024 upgrade fee for those customers (like me) who purchased from Flight1. The reason I upgraded is because: * FSHud does a very good job controlling AI traffic * FSHud has PTT voice ATC * FSHud has a CO-Pilot, who can communicate with ATC and you can easily switch this ON or OFF while flying * FSHud has a ground traffic map, which shows how to get from parking to the runway * FSHud offers all phases of realistic ATC flight * FSHud continues to add more voices and regional accents I am very happy with my purchase and upgrade.
