  1. No, the default one is an enhanced version. Which does have AT, btw... I am not sure why some prefer the FFX version: the default one works more realistic, has quite a few (realistic) extra options and leaves out quite a few errors that FFX added. Imho the default version is far superior. So again: I do wonder why some prefer the FFX one...?
  2. Okay, so I started from another airport and now it works again... It seems there is something with the weather, I presume...? It was very bad weather but still... Very odd. But I am happy it's working again. I will give the 'faulty' airport another try later on (when the weather is different).
  3. Since this morning I am not able anymore to start a flight with the Vison Jet. I start things up but after a few seconds the engines shuts down and I see the message I have a system failure (not the PC but the plane). There is no way to turn the plane on again after that. Just now I gave another plane a try (after a complete system reboot!) and there the engines also shut down after a few seconds... I never ever had this before... Did something change somehow after the last MSFS2024 update? I did receive a PC update this morning too: could that have something to do with it? Anyone else had this problem? I simply can't fly anymore!!!
  4. Bummer... The Vision Jet still looks like word not allowed... I wonder if they will ever solve this? I am flying the Citation X for now.
  5. I absolutely love BATC and won't fly without it. I do fly IFR only though with SID and STAR etc. and only in Europe too.
  6. Er... we already have this in FS2024...? The only problem is that some addon developers keep on supporting Navigraph only. But other than that we already got what you want... Or am I missing something here?
  7. How well does the X perform compared to for instance the Longitude? I gave the latter a try today but performance was choppy... The Vision Jet (which is the only plane I fly) performs very well. I wonder if the X will also give me choppy fps...
  8. Oh, bummer... I just noticed I still had the beta uninstalled... So I enabled the beta again and now everything looks weird and odd again. Shoot. I really hope this gets solved before the final release of SU3...
  9. I was wondering if the Citation X is better than the default CJ4... If so, in what way?
  10. I think you need a new or specific MSFS2024 verion of AIG. You will also need to update all files (in another location if you want to keep on using P3D). I had to copy all files and update AIG and then do some other stuff before I got AIG working with MSFS2024 (and BATC). EDIT https://www.alpha-india.net/2024/12/17/ai-manager-beta-for-msfs2024/
  11. Problem solved! Uninstalled the beta, reinstalled the beta and all is fine again! 🙂
  12. As I said: "It's as if some shadows aren't there anymore." 😉 All my (relevant) settings are High so... I didn't change anything. It's as if a layer of shadows is missing. Hard to explain what it is...
  13. After not playing MSFS2024 for a while I came back to it (SU3 beta) and noticed something odd with the shadows in the VJ cockpit. It's as if some shadows aren't there anymore. I am currently doing a flight underneath the clouds and I am missing a lot of contrast. Just look at the gear lever and the various knobs beside the CGI's. Is there something I am missing here or...?
  14. I also ended my Ultimate subscription a while ago and so far I don't need this navdata only subscription for SimBrief. I might get it if I run into problems but so far so good.
  15. Just make sure the BATC window is NOT the active window and the toggle to show and hide the UI works perfectly... 😉
  16. Actually, WT is already working on ATC. It has added and changed various things to default ATC since the release of MSFS2024. Not sure if MS/Asobo said anything about it though... Still, the changes are little and not enough to make me go from BATC back to default ATC. But hey, who knows in the future...
  17. Well, it depends... I am on MSFS2024 and I ended my Navigraph subscription after a few years. The LIDO charts that come with MSFS2024 are just as good (if not better) for me. And they are 100% free so... bye bye Navigraph!
  18. I think you could skip quite a few steps and clicks if you install the SimBrief plugin for the EFB...! With one click the SB plan is loaded into the EFB, the avionics and (obviously) the SB plugin itself! If BATC changes a procedure you can simply change it in the aircraft systems (far more realistic) after which (if you want to) you can use the EFB option to get the (current!) plan from the avionics (so you will automatically see the appropriate charts in the EFB). Works like a charm. This way you can skip downloading the plan to your PC, loading it into the EFB (which isn't exactly a one click solution) and exporting it to the avionics. All that is done with one click if you use the SB app.
  19. I don't use it at all. Well, only to pick departure and destination. I create the plan in SimBrief and load it into MSFS2024 using the free SimBrief app on the MSFS2024 EFB. I only load it once I am on the tarmac and in the cockpit. The plan is then loaded into the EFB itself and in the systems of the plane in use. I only use the MSFS2024 free flight map to position myself.
  20. I am the opposite, apart from the having fun part, haha! I can't stand it if a cockpit has a knob of which I don't know the function... I spend hours and hours watiching video's explaining every knob and switch and screen and option of the Airbus 320. Loved it. In my P3D days I only flew the (Majestic) Dash 8 and one of the reasons I loved it was that I was able to learn about the function of absolutely everything. The Airbus really stretched my limits and I don't think I acually learned everything about it. Life is soooooooo much easier and relaxed with the Vision Jet, hahaha! No real trouble mastering that plane! 🙂
  21. In only fly the Vision Jet (MS Asobo version). Perfect for my kind of flying and the time I have for it. To me the VJ is some sort of mini-Airbus (which is my favorite airliner) and I fly it as such. Heavily leaning on the systems, flying IFR usually, using published procedures (replaced Navigraph with the new MSFS2024 LIDO charts though!) but all that without the need for a co-pilot and only doing short routes (around 200 nm). I could do that with an Airbus too (I own the Fenix but haven't touched it in ages) but it would be quite unrealistic and still take too much time (I hate starting a flight at the runway: cold and dark to cold and dark everytime for me). I have to add/admit I've also flown the Joby a few times since the release of MSFS2024 but once I figured out how it worked I haven't flown it much, really. Nice for some sightseeing but sightseeing gets boring pretty quickly. Whenever I do have time to fly I like to do complete A to B flights from cold and dark to cold and dark (always using BATC). (Haven't even looked at the careermode or any other mission-like stuff once.)
  22. I have only flown their Vision Jet and I'd say FlightFX sits somewhere between Carenado and the better ones like A2A. Not even close to HotStart though: way too many things not being simulated. And weird things are done to overcome certain problems. The HJet seems to be better but from what I know it's not actually developed by FFX: they mainly are the publisher. It took MS/Asobo/WT to make the Vision Jet shine: their MSFS2024 version finally removed some weird things and added a lot of realistic features. Imho the MSFS2024 version is getting a bit closer to A2A-quality. Not there yet though. But certainly better than the FFX-version.
  23. Afaik it only works for descents and arrivals. I always climb in FLC mode. But perhaps it's airplane dependant: I only fly the Vision Jet.
  24. Well, in all honesty... I love BATC and won't fly without it but to me it's mainly an 'immersion adding addon'. More so than a reliable ATC addon. I do listen to what BATC tells me but whenever I think ATC is wrong or it doesn't do what you'd expect I simply ignore it. I often cut off too long STARs by simply flying straight to the IAF and switching to tower: BATC doesn't mind AT ALL if you do that and simply keeps talking to you as if nothing has happened. Of course this is a big shame but it is what it is and I've accepted it. I do like the immersion BATC gives me too much to not use it anymore. And another thing in all honesty: I doubt if BATC will ever be 'perfect'. I know the regular answer to any of the common ATC-problems is 'Yeah, well, what did you expect, it's EA' but I've been using BATC since the very first beta (I was one of the first to join) and seeing they still haven't fixed some of the very basic ATC stuff after all this time... well, I really doubt if they ever will. Time will tell. But I do think BATC will remain some sort of EA forever.
  25. Yes, and it's been like that since they added those voices. Apparently it's pretty hard to correct. But I prefer the non-accent voices anyway. I just pretend every pilot and every ATC-employe has had a mandatory course in proper English. I rather hear everyone speak proper English than gibberish. It doesn't spoil the immersion in anyway. On the contrary.
