OASIS WMR driver - can it be used with non-Steam MSFS

The title of the thread sums up my question.  I have the non-Steam (MS Store) version of MSFS2024 and I run exclusively in VR with a Reverb G2 headset.  I currently run under Windows 10, but would like to "upgrade" to Windows 11.  Do I need to purchase the Steam version of MSFS2024 in order to take advantage of the new Oasis WMR driver (I believe the driver gets installed via Steam).
