Featured Replies

Amazing time to be a flight simmer particularly flying X-Plane 12. X-Plane persistent world and career-mode services are now available from these vendors each with its pros and cons.

  • FSE
  • OnAir
  • Neofly
  • AirHauler
  • FSPax
  • Pilops
  • A Pilot's Life 2
  • SimFly

Today's topic is FSCharter plugin that has been upgraded from V1 to V2 Beta.  FSCharter persistent world (like the other listed) is not exclusive to X-Plane, however X-Plane 12 provides the best experience.

It is mind boggling how deep and sophisticated these plugin are evolving.

After four years of development, FSCharter V2 is now in Open Beta. This version has been rebuilt from the ground up to create a persistent world where your flights, routes, bases, and business decisions all contribute to a shared passenger economy that continues to operate whether you’re online or not.

Here’s what you can do in V2:

Choose how you want to play

You can run a scheduled airline with hubs and connections, fly ad-hoc charters to meet shifting demand, or blend both approaches. You can operate alone or work with others, and there’s room for everything from niche operators to large network carriers.

Build functional bases

Infrastructure matters. You can construct Operations Centres, hangars, passenger facilities, and maintenance capability at any airport. These determine what your company and your partners can do, and they become strategic assets as the world evolves.

Team up and scale your reach

Partnerships let you share passenger demand, extend your network, and make use of each other’s base infrastructure. Revenue is split between companies involved, so coordinated networks can grow in ways that solo operators might not.

A dynamic, global demand engine

Passenger demand is seeded from real-world population data and changes based on all player activity. If a region goes unserved, someone else can step in. You can mirror real-world operations or find opportunities in overlooked parts of the world.

Start as a pilot, grow into a company

You can begin as a hired pilot, build your net worth, and start a company when you’re ready. Company owners manage hiring, salaries, aircraft maintenance, route planning, and day-to-day operations in a live economy influenced by every other player.

Operational depth with real consequences

Aircraft require purchase, maintenance, and careful allocation. Routes must be profitable, bases need managing, and neglected maintenance will eventually be costly. Decisions build up over time, for better or worse.

Review your flights in detail

Each flight is recorded so you can inspect route paths, performance data, forces, speed, and altitude. It’s a helpful way to review your flying and refine how you operate.
