July 8, 200223 yr I've pulled a dump of the airfile for a particular aircraft. And not suprisingly, there are a number of 'table charts' or table graphs. Here are two examples...Record: 0341 Elevators Effectivity TablePoints: 7-0.524000 1.000000-0.349000 0.700000-0.175000 0.6000000.000000 0.4000000.175000 0.6000000.349000 0.7000000.524000 1.000000Record: 0400 *Ground effect Graph??Points: 110.054000 1.2500000.100000 1.1600000.200000 1.0961000.300000 1.0600000.400000 1.0400000.500000 1.0300000.600000 1.0242000.700000 1.0213000.800000 1.0161000.900000 1.0100001.000000 1.000000What is missing are the labels. Or in other words, if I were to chart these what would x and y be called? Is there anywhere that has already defined these? I have aired and it charts it, but still the lables are missing and I don't know what I am adjusting. 2) What units do these numbers measure. Are they points, degrees, knots? This needs to be known for assessing magnitude. And as a corollary to that question, what are the extremes or range of settings. For example, in record 341 above, repeats the first column just changing signs but the second column doesn't follow the same pattern. In the second example, the first column is sequential (almost like its' moving over a surface but the second column doesn't seem to have a pattern. Others I've seen range -1 to 1; others any number seems to work...Please bear in mind that my question is more systemic rather than specific. How should I read these tables in general rather than necessarily these two. I have several tables that I don't understand what information they contain because the labels are missing, I don't know what the units of measure are and I don't' know what the acceptable range is.Any help is appreciatedBobL
