August 22, 200223 yr I have recently begun to move a little beyond the default aircraft. I know how to open and work within a cfg file, etc, and how to download and move aircraft, scenery, etc What do I need to do to install a downloaded repaint (texture) into fs2002?Thanks,JC Martin
August 22, 200223 yr Author You need to put it into a folder named texture.something. Then, create a new &l;fltsim&r; section in the aircraft.cfg file called &l;fltsim.x&r; where x is one value higher than the last one in the .cfg file. In that new section, be sure to set texture=something so that the something here matches the something you used for the folder name. All the other settings in the section can be a duplicate of one of the existing sections.Study the .cfg files from the default aircraft and you'll see how it works. This same technique can be used for adding panels, sounds, and models in the same aircraft folder too.
