August 24, 200223 yr I can't make any sense out of Microsoft's SDK. Are there any GOOD tutorials out there that gives an easy to follow guide and or a function list for XML gauges? Or perhaps a FREEWARE program that creates-not modifies gauges? If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

If you read backwards in this forum, you'll get the benefit of learning the same thing most of us 'newbies' have learned, along with the names of the very few resources available.Take a few hours and do a search in the forum for XML. Read every message from about January of this year.Study the examples contained in the .CAB files MS provided. D/L every a/c or panel on avsim.com, flightsim.com and elsewhere, and start 'collecting' XML gauges to provide study material. If you have a *specific* question, here's the place to ask! There are quite a few folks here who're glad to help with solutions to specific problems. Who knows, even someone like me might be able to give you an answer! :)As far as 'programs' go, there are none that're 'FREEWARE.' Easy Gauge is available for a modest fee. It constructs basic, compiled gauges.BillAVSIM Ombudsman
August 25, 200223 yr Author Try xmlgau10.zip from Arne Bartels (which is maybe one of the greatest gauge gurus). There's a list of functions etc.Good luck! :-)Here're many people who will certainly help you if you have some problems (which you'll have for sure!). :-hahhttp://members.lycos.co.uk/fs2k2/avsim/sig.jpg... under short final 25L [email protected]# 99744757
