What's a good C compiler that's free?

Recommended Posts

Guest Fabio Miguez

Is it a good idea to write C code in a txt file and then just run it through a free compiler? If so, what's a good one?Or should I write it in a more fancy editor, like Visual C++?

Another free compiler is the GCC-2.95.2 Mingw32 version. Start at http://gcc.gnu.org/ and search their site for Mingw. Dai Griffiths recommended this version with his sd2gau12.zip. Check his sd2gau13.zip to see if a newer version is now recommended.
