October 29, 200223 yr Hi gang,I've been looking around for anyone who's been able to explain how to animate the flapper hinge on the nose gear...Since I couldn't find anything I thought I'd save someone else the aggrivation.The problems I ran into are the hinge must only move when the gear is compressed, and it must be linked to retract with the whole assembly.Im going to start after you have the gear retracting and compressing you can find a how to on Chris' Gmax site.To create the hinge i just extruded it from the top gear...same goes for the yellow hinge.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3dbefd2e31aebcf0.jpgSet the time slider to 100now adjust the yellow hinge pivot as show...And link it to the top gear...http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3dbefff73c9d2cfb.jpgCreate rotation keys at 100 and 200 and animate to match the bottom gears movement.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3dbf00de3ff161b8.jpgHope I saved someone a headache! try this if you havent, It looks great in the sim.later,
