Folding Wings?

Featured Replies

Hello friends,I cant seem to get my wings to fold up...Is it not supported in 2k2? I recently lost cfs2 from the HD and cant test it...cd's FUBAR. I used the l_wingfold_01 tags but nada. I renamed to visor and they work real nice, but Im unable to use the endcap tags. Ive animated from 01 to 100. any tips?thanks

I know in FS2k2 you have to go in and set a key assignment to wing fold, and I think theres an entry in the aircraft.cfg to activate it as well..not sure about the laterWhat exactly is an endcap command?hope this helps :-)

The aircraft.cfg mods are explained in the #2 gMax variables listing in the Tips section of FFDS.I too would really like to know what an endcap is :)Matt

thanks for the help guys, In the makeMDl sdk the endcaps are defined as only being visible when the wings are folded. To prevent bleeding thru the wings I assume. This is obviously my first attempt at this so I dont even know if it works. It also is used when a wing is shot off in cfs. When the wing is gone, then the endcap is visible.Ill inspect the Vought closer, I bet I missed something in the .cfg.file.thanks

ooops... :-) had a "," where a "." should have been. Working fine except when I export with the endcap_l_wing_fold tag, Gmax crashes hard.Bit array.cpp at line 172...that's what I get and gmax either locks up or shuts down...?????...XPStrange. I think Ill have to just use a normal poly for the endcap, bleeding is not a problem. Thanks guys.
