April 10Apr 10 Classic jet fans, this one's for you. Today I'm taking the iconic (and rare) Air India Lockheed L-1011-500 TriStar with registration V2-LEK out for a full flight. This aircraft has quite the story: one of only two L-1011-500s briefly wet-leased by Air India. Painted in the beautiful "Palace in the Sky" livery, it operated short-haul and European routes. Later in life, V2-LEK ended up as an artificial reef — deliberately sunk in the Red Sea off Aqaba, Jordan in 2019, where it now serves as a unique scuba diving site and coral habitat. But today, she's back in the air in stunning Air India colors — thanks to the brand new IniBuilds L-1011 TriStar for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This session will be a comprehensive cold & dark startup, deep systems walkthrough, and in-flight tutorial covering: The full Flight Engineer station and V1.01 improvements.
