  1. Going supersonic today in memory of both the iconic Concorde and one of its most frequent flyers, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. 20 Minutes elapsed and I was already past 50,000 ft and Mach 2... Wow. Full Ongoing Stream here :)
  2. I took the CSS 737-300 Classic for a spin in the BA Landor livery. I actually have the BA 737-300 FCOM, so that added an additional layer of authenticity to my operations. Who would have thought that BA uses the right hand side engine ignitor for ex-base operations, or even other subtle things like IRS directly to NAV, etc :) I found it interesting too that Leading Edge Droop can cause asymmetry that can cause the stall test warning to fail. I made a full BA 737 Classic FCOM tutorial too! :)
  3. Hi All, I'm interested in designing a High Quality 2D panel for FSX. Is the software still available? I can only see the free trial one. Also are there any other free alternatives? Cheers, Joshua
  4. Yep, with all the fresh textures of XP 12 I'm sure :)
  5. You're going to love the X-Plane 12 version of Flyjsim :)
  6. I believe Milviz/ Blackbird are bringing the 737-200 to msfs albeit very slowly :/
  7. Thats odd. I clicked it now and its 100% there. 1h 35 in total. At the time it was streaming it was there too. It definitely did not end nor did it Count Down to Nothing nor did any of the live viewers have any tech difficulties in watching it :/ Plus I don't believe sharing knowledge or enthusiasm is a Sin. Lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuv96sP7XLc
  8. Who else wants to go beyond the Magenta 737's in MSFS and go old school with the 737 Classic and Sperry A/p? I took the Highly Versatile 737-200C on an Arctic spin yesterday and had a blast! So I'm going to do it again this time FCOM Tutorial Style :) Luckily the FlyJsim 737 is arriving to X-Plane in June, but sadly no MSFS equivalent as of yet :/
  9. Interesting. What modifications did you do ? 👀
  10. Also some people select NAV on the ground and then TOGA which overrides it leading to an embarrassing situation later. Seen this too often by Real 737 Pilots streamers 🤣
  11. So I went to the Paris Air and Space Museum and was so excited to see Concorde that I couldn’t resist giving a virtual tour of the cockpit using their interactive app. Being a hardcore Concorde flight simmer for years certainly helped! Here's a short video of the experience. I had to cut out parts where other people were in the video asking questions for obvious reasons. An important point about the Autothrottle usage is discussed within: The A/T is used for cruise and approach only - not climb (which I've seen many msfs users doing which makes me want to do this: 🤦‍♂️) I've never used the autothrottle while climbing — it's simply pointless. Moreover, It's completely optional to use it in supercruise. "Max Climb" and "Max Cruise" modes do their job very well even without the autothrottle. Many people compare the Concorde to an Airbus and its "climb" mode. Most of the Concorde’s flight is performed with the throttle levers at full power. Thanks to the engine rating systems and the autopilot’s excellent "max climb" modes, there’s simply no need to touch the throttle levers. Concorde flies best at maximum speed, so why limit it? Sometimes, while climbing, you can reduce thrust slightly if the center of gravity (CG) shift isn’t keeping up with the Mach number. However, this happens very rarely and is usually because the pilot didn’t start pumping fuel in time or miscalculated the fuel limit in the 11th tank. But you don’t need the autothrottle for this. What was originally intended to be a private memory quickly turned out to be an interactive experience as a crowd gathered to hear my explanation. Even other visitors doing other tours started to notice. It was a very proud moment for me. :) Hope this helps fellow concorde fans and enthusiasts. Cheers, Joshua757
  12. That is interesting insight. Thanks for sharing. I haven't experienced that at all. I usually tune in a valid, random ILS frequency on both sides and do the auto land test, which is probably why I didn't notice.
  13. There is a DOP selection in the A/P which i think may be for GPS but I'm not sure.
