November 30, 200223 yr It is time once again to show our customers from around the world the projects we have underway in this fantastic forum.UFO/Steve has started the show with his projects here:http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID9/1571.html#0My most recent WIP was the construction of a Craftsman style tool box. This is just fooling around in the ProE class while the others were finishing the required class project. I will mount my class project on top of it. I will convert it to gmax and upload the source so you can have one on the ramp or in your factory/frepair facility. The F.A.R.T.S. new aircraft plant needs several more similar. As the msg says, we are accepting applications for 3 remaining apprenticeships at the F.A.R.T.S. design center.http://mtco.com/~rsam/appbox.jpg[email protected]http://mtco.com/~rsam/fartslogo.jpg
November 30, 200223 yr Nice toolbox there, Bob. Right now I am busy with the Dash-6 for Yeodesigns, and some other secret projects. So instead of posting shots of the Twin Otter, which most of you know by now, I am doing it different now. I am posting soem previews of the Saab 2000 version 2 which I started some time back. It was meant to replace some of the distorted parts of version 1. Since this on looked better, I decided to make it a complete aircraft. Release date is somewhere this century, since my YD projects has priority right now.Hope you enjoy the pics.Udo.:-wave
November 30, 200223 yr Here's my newest scenery project, Elma Municipal in Elma, Washington. Its a short flight from my previous upload, Bowermand Field. Its coming along, still much left to do.
November 30, 200223 yr Still pushing for a release early next year - which involves replacing the few remaining gauges (such as the INS) which other developers have designed, with my own. The most time-consuming part seems to be linking all the systems to each other - well, and drawing all the bitmaps ;-) Here are a few shots of my "WIP"..! Concorde Project 2002Again - I would like to thank everyone on this forum for all their support over the last few months! :-) Andyhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3de8af606e426f13.jpg
November 30, 200223 yr I'm almost embarrased to show this, but this is the result of my first two hour effort at building a VC for the new Beriev BE-103 Amphib.Gee, don't those gauges look familiar? :)
November 30, 200223 yr Well,Between Turkeyday, the family, and people wigging out around me, I am still in the process of unwrapping the BE103. So instead of digging up some old pics, Ill show you her with the Texture templates applied...here she is in South Chicago Ghettoflage...
November 30, 200223 yr Ok, here's mine-Next project is to update the Seabee with opening doors and a working VC.John Woodward
December 1, 200223 yr My work in progress is Edwards Air Force Base. This is a huge base with a dry lake bed that has dozens of runway marked in the sand. I created over 85 sq miles of photorealistic scenery for this project and the results are breathtaking. In addition to the three working airports there are dozens of hangers and the Dryden Research area. The project is about 30 percent complete and I have about 100 hours in is currently. Im using FSSC to lay down the runways, taxiways, line, and polygons. FSDSv2 to create the compiled bgl macros. And Architect to create the photo overlay. Here are a few screens.http://wagsterstuff.com/screens/edw_001.jpghttp://wagsterstuff.com/screens/edw_002.jpghttp://wagsterstuff.com/screens/edw_003.jpghttp://wagsterstuff.com/screens/edw_004.jpghttp://wagsterstuff.com/screens/edw_005.jpghttp://wagsterstuff.com/screens/edw_006.jpghttp://wagsterstuff.com/screens/edw_007.jpghttp://wagsterstuff.com/screens/edw_008.jpghttp://wagsterstuff.com/screens/edw_009.jpghttp://wagsterstuff.com/screens/edw_010.jpghttp://wagsterstuff.com/screens/edw_011.jpgHope to have the scenery done early next yearDennis Waggonerhttp://wagsterstuff.com/wsslogo.jpgwww.wagsterstuff.com
December 1, 200223 yr Dennis, you have no clue how much I have dreamed of a good Rodgers Dry lake/Edwards AFB/Dryden FRC! Are any of the hangars there useable? Just wondering. Are there any plans to flatten the lakebed so aircraft can land on it? Thanks so much for sharing the pics. Do you plan on including the HL-10, X-1E, and X-15 mockup that are out on display at Dryden? Sorry for all the questions. :-lol
December 1, 200223 yr CX001The lakebed is great to land on. I left it rough so you will kick up some dust though. Right now the Hangers are all static but after the scenery is done I hope to animate some doors and add polygons to the insides of a few hangers so that you can see the interior. I would also like to make the two main hangers in the Dryden Area have transparent see though windows on both sides. Again as time permits and my technical expertise increasesDennis
December 1, 200223 yr That is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time.- Martin My site: www.martinstrong.com/FS_Project.htm
