FS Copilot in MSFS2024 VR - stunning

Featured Replies

I've just posted on the main forum about the new version of 'FS Copilot' in MSFS2024.

As is requested & politic, I haven't talked about just how good it is in VR in the main forum.  But Wow OH WOW OHHH WOOOOOOOWWW!!

My Brother in Law, sitting 100 miles away with his trusty old Reverb 2 on Windows 10 and medium spec PC, and me with my Crystal Light in Windows 11 and better - though not latest gen - specs occupied a Cessna G1000 - him in pilot seat and me in copilot - on the runway at a UK WW2 military airfield.

He took control and took off, raised flaps and climbed as we talked to each other over the Discord channel.  I then took control and landed at the same runway.

And you know that unrepeatable feeling that we all got the very first time when going into a cockpit in VR?  Well, the feeling was a very, very, very close second to that!

We're still experimenting with which knobs and axes are 'dual control', where either pilot can activate and switch, and which ones are in the 'You Have Control' where control is passed to one or the other but not both at the same time.

The only technical issue we came across was bringing MSFS2024 up to date on B-I-L's PC (he's not techie and so that was done over the phone with me trying to remember how Windows 10 works!) as B-I-L has been almost exclusively MSFS2020 this past year or so...and there was a lot to re-set and explain to him.  But the actual installation and use of the app itself was a breeze!!

I would be very interested if anyone else has tried it and how you have found it 👍
