I just updated my ATI drivers, and now GMAX wont start! It just gives the start screen....forever! Is there any graphic card setting in particular that gmax is allergic to? Thanks a bunch!

hey, what gmax driver settings were you using before? You can change it in the ini but you might want to seek out the expertswww.gmaxsupport.comi upgraded my drivers one time and it caused the same problem. I had to write in [WindowState]GFXType=HEIDIGFXRenderer=SZB7.hdiGFXDevice=GDI7.hdiwarning!!! its been some time since I had to do this, so get some confirmation before trying this. with V1.0 too by the way. This got me back to where i could at least open Gmax, then adjust the gmax drivers from the menu.the guys a gmaxsupport deal with this stuff more often so please refer to them.joe

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out. Oh, and to the fella who sent me the email, thanks alot for the tip, but it still just jams :( here is what i put:C:maxGamesgmaxgmax.exe -his this right?thanks agin, guys!

I recently had gmax indicate my installation was corrupt. I went to the trouble of copying all the important folders, uninstalled, and reinstalled. Any files added by me were not erased during the uninstall, and surprizingly, I didn't have to reset anything after the reinstall. You might want to give that a try. If you changed screen resolutions in your new setup, it may be part of the problem. You might try 800x600 to start.Yes, it looks like the "-h" is correct in your post as long as the -h is within the "" around the rest of the information.
