February 19, 200323 yr Does anyone know of a GOOD Van's Aircraft RV-8A MS FS aircraft file out there? I want to model my sim after my real RV-8A, which I completed a little over a year ago. I have not tried to design my own FS aircraft, but I will if I have to. Thanks in advance for your help!Dave
February 20, 200323 yr I know it's not the same model but I have an RV-6 and 6A available that I did for FS 2000 (with a cfg update for 2002) here at AVSIMBrian
February 20, 200323 yr Brian - Thanks for the tip on where to find the RV-6A! I looked a couple of times, but I guess not hard enough.Question - As I am a newbie to aircraft and panel design, what kind of effort is involved in re-shaping what you have in the -6A in to the 8A? What would be your advise on where I should I start?By the way, I went to your web site - you do some GREAT work!!!!!All us simmers appreciate it!Thanks again,Dave
February 21, 200323 yr Does the 8 have tandem seating.. or side by side.... I get lost on all the Van's models :-) if it's side by side, I think just a slight increase in the dimentions of the model and the rest is the flight dynamics. I've been meaning to redo my RV's with FSDS2.. Maybe one of these days I'll get everything done that I want LOLBrian
February 21, 200323 yr Espeaking of RV-8s, gee Brian what if I send you an FSDS2 RV-8 based on a former RV-9 fsc, with certain B/Gladden RV-6 dynamics?>Does the 8 have tandem seating.. or side by side.... February 22, 200323 yr Very nice Felix... Send away... I made out pretty good with the FSc for your RV-6/7 last time :-)[email protected]
February 22, 200323 yr Done - both FSDS1 and FSDS2 models and bits sent...By the way, on this particular model - the spinner disappears - on purpose - once the rpms go up ...I didn't include the appropriate prop0_slow and prop0_blurred spinner parts....you see - the "real" N346AK lost it's spinner in flight, damaging the propeller, but the pilot was able to land safely...
