FSX-SE TrackIr Problem .... resolved.

Returned to FSX-SE for some "Olden But Golden" flightsimming but was irritated by my TrackIr 5 6DOF putting my head through the sides and back of the cockpit at the slightest twitch of the head.

Setting up a custom profile with roll, x, y, z, trueview all unchecked unfortunately didn't work. It turns out , for my setup at least, FSX-SE was only using the default profile.

Now I load up the TrackIr, temporarily uncheck the above settings (it won't let you make permanent changes to the default), then start up FSX. Hey Presto. I'm no longer falling through the sides of the cockpit and the 2DOF (pitch, yaw) is more than adequate for the basic virtual cockpits. This maybe my problem and mine alone .... but if it's yours this may help.
