May 30, 200323 yr Hi,Busy with a string for "fuel left".Not so happy with this one:%((A:Fuel total quantity weight, pounds) (A:Turb eng1 fuel flow pph, pounds per hour) 2 * (L: Dist,number) rddg 60 * (A:Airspeed select indicated or true,knots) / * - 100 /)%!d!%Better ideas?Jan"Procul Negotiis" Jan "Beatus ille qui procul negotiis..."
June 1, 200323 yr I'm not sure I understand the question fully, but here is what I use for endurance in hours:minute readout.%((A:FUEL TOTAL QUANTITY,gallons) (A:FUEL TANK LEFT TIP QUANTITY,gallons) - (A:FUEL TANK RIGHT TIP QUANTITY,gallons) - (*no gauging on lockertanks*) (A:ENG1 FUEL FLOW GPH,gallons per hour) (A:ENG2 FUEL FLOW GPH,gallons per hour) + / (*i.e. 2.5 hours on stack now, convert to 30 ':' 2 for reverse output*) d d int - 60 * near r int ':' r)%!d!%!s!%!02d!Uhhm, maybe a bit "special case", but I think you might be able to get something out of it. This particular aircraft has one lockertank, which doesn't have any means of gauging, so the total endurance disregards this fuel completely.Don't know if it helps much, but...
June 1, 200323 yr Author Thanks Karl,I already tested more thorough the code and to my surprise it works ok.It gives, while enroute, the amount of fuel available at a certain waypoint in lbs.Of course the value "floats" with the throttle positions. So you can see, by adjusting them, if there is enough fuel left to get at that certain waypoint or that you 'll have to divert for a refill.Jan"Procul Negotiis" Jan "Beatus ille qui procul negotiis..."
